Job Overview
Amazon Robotics is seeking a talented and motivated Systems Development Engineer I to join our Workcell Technology team. The candidate will have the opportunity work with senior engineering staff on existing and new projects. The ideal candidate has strong engineering aptitude, enjoys problem solving and can potentially handle multiple parallel tasks.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
- Solves straightforward technical problems at the component level with tested, maintainable solutions.
- Enables greater team agility via improvements to design, automation, development, test, or operations.
- Identifies risks and mitigations in designs solving defined technical problems and makes trade-offs.
- Able to develop software for small tools and applications. Code is tested, logical, and maintainable.
- Develops Technology solutions that are simple to start but may have opportunities for optimizations, efficiencies, or scaling.
- Writes clear, accurate and concise documentation.
- Performs basic troubleshooting which mitigates issue for team or customer impact.
- Performs simulations on workcell or equipment performance and publishes metrics that can be used to monitor effectiveness of a program
