Summary:
The System Director RN Education provides strategic leadership and oversight for the planning development implementation and evaluation of ongoing nursing education programs across Brown University Health. In collaboration with the System Director of Professional Practice this role partners with clinical and operational leaders to ensure alignment with organizational goals regulatory requirements and best practices fostering a culture of continuous learning and clinical excellence.

Develop and execute a comprehensive system wide nursing education strategy that aligns educational initiatives with organizational goals clinical quality metrics and evidence-based best practices. This strategy should include:
� Orientation
� Onboarding
� Competency assessments
� Ongoing professional development
Serve as a thought leader and advisor to system leadership on nursing education and workforce development needs
Establish and maintain nursing policies procedures and standards of care that reflect best practices and regulatory requirements
Ensure equitable access to educational resources for all facilities and departments being mindful to address diverse learning needs
Lead initiatives to support specialty certifications and advanced practice roles
Partner with clinical leaders and use data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
Collaborate with academic institutions to establish pipelines for nursing students and promote lifelong learning
Serve as a liaison between regulatory and accrediting bodies to ensure compliance with education-related standards
Promote innovative teaching methodologies by integrating technology including e-learning platforms simulation and virtual reality to enhance learning opportunities
Develop leadership training programs to prepare nurses for management and executive roles
Mentor and support nurse educators and clinical instructors across the system
Establish metrics to evaluate the impact and effectiveness of nursing education programs on clinical outcomes and employee engagement
Ensure programs address competency gaps and align with patient safety goals
Performs other duties as assigned.
Other information:
EDUCATION:
Master�s degree in Nursing Education or a related field (Doctorate preferred)
Current RN licensure in state of practice
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of 5 years of progressive leadership experience in nursing education or clinical education
Proven experience developing and managing large-scale education programs
Proficiency with technology and learning management systems
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:
Supervises up to 25 FTEs across the Brown Health system.
