System Engineer, Principal

In support of a DISA prototyping effort, the Intel and Cyber Division is assembling a team of network engineers, systems engineers, Unified Communications Engineers, and Integration Engineers, change management specialists, information assurance professionals, and procurement personnel knowledgeable in SCRM processes to support a program that provides critical network capabilities to the Department of Defense. We are committed to recruiting and retaining this team for prototype development, test, and demonstration, as well as making this team available longer term for integration, deployment and sustainment as needed.

Responsibilities\: 
The duties and responsibilities of the System Engineer, Senior include, but are not limited to, the following\: 

Assess and identify appropriate solutions based on system requirements. Manage and maintain an IT enterprise centered around Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, and related products.  Design and implement system network configurations. Install, configure, test, and maintain operating systems, application software, and system management tools. Identify and diagnose complex performance, security, and technical issues.  Performing system and software updates to enhance performance.  Develop and implement solutions across a wide range of technologies.  Implement and maintain DISA STIG requirements.  Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution.

* Must meet DoD 8570.01-M IAT-II or IAM-I baseline certification requirements such as Security or equivalent. Certified in accordance with Cyber Workforce Management Program DoDD 8140.1 and DoD 8570.01-M. Experience with Windows Server 2019, Citix XenDesktop, VMware ESXi, Active Directory, SAN, SQL 2012/16, VCP 7.X  Demonstrated experience in security requirements associated with DoD enterprise systems. Experience with Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Word, Outlook, and SharePoint. Exceptional attention to detail; excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong organizational skills; critical thinking and problem-solving skills.  Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.  Ability to travel up to 25%.

Clearance Required\:  

Must have active Top Secret clearance with SCI or TS with the ability to acquire SCI 

Minimum Education\: 

High School Diploma

Minimum Years of Experience\: 

12 years of related experience 

Preferred\: 

VMware certification VCP 6.x  Experience with Commvault 11.x  Experience with System Center Configuration Manager 2012 or higher  Experience with Windows Server 2019, SQL 2016, SharePoint 2016, and other related technologies  Experience with Microsoft Exchange 2016  Experience developing IT checklists, SOPs, guides, etc.  * Must meet DoD 8570.01-M IAT-II or IAM-I baseline certification requirements such as Security or equivalent.
