We are seeking a System Engineer to support the U.S. Air Force 505th Command and Control Wing (CCW), Test and Training Group (TTG). As an AOC IQT System Engineer, you will help the 505th Training Squadron fulfill its mission providing advanced Air Operations Center (AOC) education and Command and Control process improvements Position is located at Hurlburt Field, FL.

 

Responsibilities

Provide System Administration functions for all systems, servers, workstations, peripherals, communications devices and software

Perform the responsibilities delegated by the AOC System Manager to optimize performance and quality of service

Ensure servers, workstations, peripherals, communications devices and operating system/application software are properly configured for network operation, are on- line and are available to customers

Assign and maintain user IDs and passwords

Administer user privileges on the system

Perform routine system maintenance

Work with the Formal Training Unit Help Desk to implement network security policies/procedures

Implement software patches/security fixes required by the AOC System Manager, Information System Security Manager (ISSM), and/or program management office

Qualifications DoD clearance

CompTIA Sec+  certificate or equivalent

Experience with IT concepts, practices, and procedures as certified IAW DoD 8570.01¬M IAT II and industry standards

Experience upgrading, integrating, installing, configuring, testing, maintaining, dismantling, and turning in data and video communication networks – both hardware and software.

Understanding of the interconnectivity of wireless, fiber optics, coaxial and copper (twisted pair) broadband and baseband systems
