Job Description Insight Global is looking for a Systems Engineer to join our client. As the System Engineer you will design and implement complex architectures supporting computing, storage, backup and recovery, database and web infrastructures. They administer all aspects of a distributed computer system supporting a specified functional area of university operations. They plan and coordinate system utilization, system upgrades, and system security and perform growth analysis and capacity planning. They develop scripts to automate and manage system processes and performance. They provide advanced solutions to solve complex system administration and client/server or application performance problems. They coordinate application installation, maintenance, training, and user support, as required. They plan and coordinate projects to meet future needs. They regularly perform long-term and non-routine assignments with only general supervisory intervention, seeking assistance when significant deviations are proposed or when unprecedented problems arise. They develop approaches to problem-solving and anticipate/mitigate potential issues. They train, serve as a resource and provide guidance to employees on complex problems, processes, and policies. They assist management with developing their technical skills. Salary is between $90K-95K.
