We have an exciting opportunity for a System Engineering Team Lead for Orion Camera to join the team with Nexus, a teammate company.\n
The System Engineering Team Lead for Orion Camera will:\n\nThe Systems Engineering Team Lead will be managing the SE activities of the Orion Camera\nSupport engineering flight project schedule, procurement documentation, budget and system requirements documents\nDevelop and support sub-project requirement and verification data packages to support architecture requirements, design, verification\/validation, operations, and sustaining engineering\nConduct product life cycle reviews, coordinate integration, verification, and validation activities\nWork with requirements to align with hardware specifications while understanding the verifications\nPerform system engineering functions of projects and provide user input feedback during the design process\nWork with ground testing and flight operations testing of hardware with end item documentation\nReview verification and validation reports to verify compliance with requirements\nParticipate and contribute to system requirements reviews, preliminary design reviews and critical design reviews\nParticipate and contribute to support the development of Orion Con-Ops.\nPerform and review system level architecture trade studies and analyses that will influence the overall electrical design and performance\nParticipate in test, verification, and operation of the as-built hardware\nWork with team members and leads to identify risks, develop risk statements, and plan risk responses\nWork and present schedule and progress to customers\nMust have good communication and organizational skills and the ability to work in a team environment\nPerform other duties as required\u200b\n\n \n
Requisition Qualifications:\n

Depending on the candidate's experience, requirements, and business needs, we reserve the right to consider candidates at any level for which this position has been advertised.\n\nTypically requires a minimum of a bachelor's degree in Engineering and normally possess 5 - 10 years of related experience. License and certification may be required.\n10 years' of relevant experience in systems engineering\nKnowledge and understanding of SE&I processes, methodologies, tools and technologies including model based systems engineering\nKnowledge of test principles, tools, and processes needed to develop test requirements\nKnowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures in the space hardware field, such as mechanical and electrical system design, engineering drawings and sketches, and material selection\nAbility to prepare written documents and to verbally present at various meetings\nAble to organize and prioritize tasks in order to meet deadlines and schedules with limited supervision\nExperience working in a team environment \u200b\n\n
