Responsibilities Reception of new equipmentInitial setup of all hardwareWork with Facilities to obtain Floor and/or RAC SpaceInstall Rack and/or Server in RackBreak fix repair of industry-standard enterprise level servers and storage equipment.Work with Facilities to obtain Power and backup PowerWork with facilities to connect power cablesWork with networking team to obtain Internet cabling and IP addressesWork with networking teams to connect network cablesWork with with Linux and Unix Server   Provide maintenance and support on legacy productsPerform weekly Preventive Maintenance TasksReplacing defective Server parts        Qualifications Must have experience supervising others  Must have experience with Initial server design and setupMust have experience with Server maintenanceMust have working experience with Linux and Unix ServerMust have working experience Replacing defective Server parts       Must have experience with DefragmentationMust have experience with performing routine system maintenance tasks and able to plan and schedule  taskMust be able to lift up to 40 pounds, bend and stand for long periods of time .Must have experience with electrical server systemsThe ability to solve problemsCustomer service skills & Analytical thinkingThe ability to communicate verbally and in writingThe ability to talk through server issues in a clear and concise wayTime management skillsThe ability to work closely to a deadlineThe ability to work independently on projects as well as part of a team

 

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree in Operations Research, Mathematics, Computer Science, Cost Accounting or related scientific or technical discipline and 5+ years’ work experienceEight (8) years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education (13 years total)

 

Clearance:     

The ability to pass a Tier 2/Modest Background Investigation
