Responsibilities
SUMMARY
The System Manager, IT Contracting has two significant areas of responsibility. One is to manage a portfolio of IT contracts, amendments, renewals, and transactions in an assigned category to ensure adherence to CommonSpirit policies and standards, to manage legal and business risk, and to achieve savings targets.
In addition, the System Manager, IT Contracting will lead a team of IT Contract Support (CS) resources. The System Manager will be responsible for developing and managing the CS team, distributing CS workload effectively, ensuring the team is adhering to contract lifecycle policies and procedures, and maintaining content integrity in the contract repository(ies).
The position requires strong leadership, management, and supervisory skills, the ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders at all levels, and solid working knowledge of information technology, contract development, and negotiation.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Contract Management
Contract Support (CS) Manager
Cultivate and maintain a team environment where all people are included, respected, valued, and celebrated. Coach staff to provide skill development and professional growth.Define clear roles and responsibilities for the CS team and individual team members. Establish goals and monitor progress against those goals.Monitor and coordinate all activities performed by the Contract Support Team. This includes distributing CS workload effectively, ensuring that CSs are performing their work in a timely and accurate manner, and helping to alleviate bottlenecks when they arise.Ensure the CS team is adhering to contract lifecycle policies and procedures, and maintaining content integrity in the contract repository(ies). Assist in creating training and process documents to ensure accurate use of systems which are integral to the IT Contracting process (ServiceNow, Lawson, DocuSign, and MediTract).Identify areas of growth for the CS team and individual team members, and provide training and coaching as needed to help realize this growth.Anticipate, recognize, and deal effectively with existing or potential conflicts at the individual, group, or situation level.Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor’s Degree required, in Information Technology, Information Management, Business Administration, or Healthcare Administration preferred.7 years of work experience in Contracting and Project Management.5 years of work experience in Information Technology.5 years of experience managing teams of five or more resources.High level of professional knowledge in preparation of contracts, negotiations, and legal terminology.Solid working knowledge of Information Technology and its use in business and/or healthcare settings.Strong organizational and communication skills.Strong leadership and management skills.Highly self-motivated, self-directed, and attentive to detail.Ability to handle multiple tasks, set priorities, schedule, and meet deadlines.
