System Power Validation Test Engineer

Location: Onsite - Redmond, WA

Placement Type: Managed Service Project

Pay: $50-$68/hr - based on qualifications

Key Responsibilities:

•\tExecute power validation test plan for system-level power consumption and power state transition with minimal supervision.

•\tPerform power measurements and analysis during different user scenarios, including USB PD plugged-in, charge time, and battery life under various conditions.

•\tEnsure data collected meets power measurement expectations.

•\tValidate power budgets and ensure alignment with component and subsystem specifications.

•\tOffer preliminary failure analysis and troubleshooting before collaborating with test lead and cross-functional teams to identify and resolve test setup and power-related issues.

•\tDocument test procedure, test results and provide detailed reports on power performance.

•\tIdentify areas for test improvements

Qualifications:

•\tMinimum of 5 year' experience in a hardware-related role.

•\tBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.

•\tProven experience in system power validation and testing, preferably in the consumer electronics industry.

•\tUnderstanding of power management principles and power delivery systems.

•\tKnowledge of batteries, battery management systems, and/or power electronics.

•\tProficiency in using power measurement tools and equipment.

•\tExcellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

•\tStrong communication and teamwork skills.

•\tAbility to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications:

•\tExperience with battery management systems and power delivery protocols.

•\tKnowledge of regulatory requirements related to power consumption and efficiency.

•\tFamiliarity with scripting languages for test automation.

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $68.00/hr.
