Volt is immediately hiring a Systems Test Engineer to work in a contingent to hire position onsite with our client in Lexington, KY.

\r\n\r\n

As a Systems Test Engineer, you will:

\r\n\r\n\r\n\tSupport and maintain test systems for testing consumer electronics.\r\n\tAnalyze technical requirements and effort associated with test systems and products.\r\n\tGenerate engineering documents, including schematics, diagnostics, flowcharts, and project status reports.\r\n\tConfigure and Calibrate Test systems.\r\n\tTroubleshoot test systems and find root cause of problems and resolve.\r\n\tMonitor Performance of the tester and improve tester performance.\r\n\tReport software bugs to development team.\r\n\tImplement new software's into test systems and upgrade software and hardware as needed.\r\n\tDay in the Life:\r\n\t\r\n\t\t20% - 30% maintenance & sustainability of testers and equipment (company-built testers)\r\n\t\t40% - 50% troubleshooting IT tickets. Hardware / Software issues. Working on the testers.\r\n\t\r\n\t\r\n\r\n\r\n

This is a full time, contingent to hire opportunity. May be hired on after 90 days.

Choice of Shift: Days Wed-Sat 6:45am - 5:15pm OR Nights Sun-Wed 6:45pm - 5:15am

\r\n\r\n

Qualifications/Requirements:

\r\n\r\n\r\n\tB.S. Degree in Electrical Engineering highly preferred. Will accept an Associate’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology or similar degree.\r\n\t0-2 years experience in test engineering.\r\n\tMust have basic level understanding of troubleshooting.\r\n\tUnderstanding of analog, digital and microprocessor circuits.\r\n\tClear, discriminatory approach to solving engineering problems.\r\n\tUnderstanding of Android/IOS Phones Testing is a plus.\r\n\tKnowledge of LEAN is helpful.\r\n\tStrong organizational and follow-up skills.\r\n\tExcellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.\r\n\tThe ability to manage multiple tasks.\r\n\tAbility to interact professionally with the customer in written and verbal communications.\r\n\r\n\r\n

Pay Rate: $29.00 – $33.00/hour

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
