The Candidate will be part of a Team into the R&D System Verification and Testing organization under Optical Networks Business Unit, one of the four units into Network Infrastructure Business Group.

Into the Team we test and validate several functionalities on different systems (optical network element) before the delivery to our customers.

The Candidate, a System Verification Professional, will be introduced into the testing process and will contribute in all phases of the process : collect requirements, execute testcases, develop and maintain test automation.

This role requires someone who is passionate about manual testing as well as very skilled on test automation with the goal to deliver our products to our customers with the highest quality possible in a timely manner.

Passion for both testing and quality, including high attention to details Proficiency in manual testing (ability to deal with both systems and test instruments) Strong proficiency in test automation (ability to deal with automation frameworks and tools, such Jenkins) Strong proficiency using scripting languages with specific focus on Python (used to create, maintain and develop test automation infrastructure) Strong proficiency using Linux platform as well as Windows platform and tools Proficiency as software developer Ability to work in a very dynamic ecosystem: be open to interact daily with colleagues from the same location as well as from different locations around the world, part of the same Testing organization as well as part of other R&D groups, like: System Engineer, Software&Hardware development, Product manager and finally Customer support Ability to quickly adapt/focus your skills on new objectives  Fluent english (written and spoken)

The System Verification Professional will be part of the Validation Team and will contribute to validation activities like:

- Testing: manual activity on real systems as well as automation activity

- Coding: creation of automatic testcases as well as development of automation infrastructure

- Failure analysis: investigation of test results coming from daily/weekly regression activities

- Report and documentation: collect specific details (file, results …) coming from test activities to provide reports for both internal (ON R&D community) and external (our customers) purpose

The System Verification Professional will be accountable for the delivery of system's functionalities to our customers as well as their quality.
