Then this position may be the right one for you. The Electrical Electronics and Vehicle Connectivity (EEVC) department is responsible for developing Mack Truck and Volvo Truck built in North America. We develop and maintain solutions for the North American market in close collaboration with teams around the world.
ResponsibilitiesPerform software and hardware updates for test vehicles.Conduct root cause analysis for functional problems identified.Measure various points of the electrical system and log vehicle data needed for troubleshooting.Support problem resolution by teaming up with development engineers as needed.Recommend solutions and provide feedback to development teams both locally and globally.Issue problem reports for defects identified in vehicle electrical and electronic systems.Perform test activities in support of the road approval process for every test vehicle planned to be used on public roads.Participate in design implementation by supporting training and knowledge transfer activities.Update databases used in fault tracing.Provide feedback regarding the test truck build process and propose improvements, especially in root cause analysis.Essential SkillsSpecialist knowledge of various commercial vehicle systems and functions.Expert knowledge of commercial vehicle CAN communication protocols and CAN analysis tools such as Vector CANalyzer.Expert knowledge and experience with automotive electrical and electronics development and diagnostics tools.Specialist knowledge and experience in vehicle controller software toolchain such as Engineering Tool Prosit.Experience with last-generation sensor technology.Experience with wiring harness manufacturing and repair tools.Expert level commercial vehicle EE troubleshooting.Ability to work remotely, independently, and with minimum direction.Hands-on abilities are a must.Commercial driver's license is a plus.Additional Skills & Qualifications8 years of experience in commercial vehicle system verification and/or EE system design.MSEE degree preferred.Ability to travel locally and internationally.Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.Work Environment
The first month will include training in Greensboro, NC but every month thereafter will be in Fort Worth, TX. The role requires working in an empowered and enthusiastic atmosphere, surrounded by highly skilled co-workers. Expect to work with new commercial vehicle technologies such as e-mobility automation and connectivity. The work environment encourages collaboration with teams around the world and requires the ability to work independently and remotely with minimal direction.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00/hr.
