Position Summary

Work with Entity CFOs and senior functional leaders to bring relevant insights and analysis to inform key decisions across the organization.Develop and deploy enterprise capabilities, including processes and tools, that facilitate effective decision-making across the organization.Oversee the preparation, delivery, and analysis of the system wide financial planning and reporting capabilities (e.g. budgeting, financial operating reports, and cost analysis as well as business case development on capital and other significant projects).Participate in the development of the company’s strategic plan and Annual Integrated Strategic and Financial Plan.Lead development and maintenance of multi-year strategic plan models that incorporate the financial impacts of the company’s strategic initiatives.Oversee the development and maintenance of financial models that support current and long-term strategic initiatives and decisions, including business case development for new initiatives, M&A and integration activities.Drive scenario planning on future strategic initiatives and instilling measurement parameters for determining success.Assist in M&A modeling, due diligence and integration activities to support acquisition reviews, valuation, and the integration into current operational and financial structures.

Key Responsibilities include:

Works with Entity CFOs and system functional leadership to create a fluid strategic planning and review process and mechanisms by which to keep the financial strategic plan current and leaders, as well as the Board informed of market developments.  Activities include:Implements management controls and reporting procedures to ensure consistent quality of strategic financial planning input across the organization.Develop financial models and forecasts.Provides the tools and processes that enable effective decision-making across the organization incorporating appropriate complexity and sophistication relevant to nature of the decision.Ensures that initiatives and projects are prioritized and aligned with business needs and strategy.Collaborates with other leaders to support broader growth objectives throughout the organization as appropriate and provides functional direction or project oversight, as requested, for strategy, entity planning or business development functions.Promotes effective execution of financial strategic priorities through the development of key system strategic initiatives and programs.Cultivates strong, positive and collaborative relationships with staff and leadership at all levels to ensure credibility and buy-in for initiatives and drives decision making that sustains organizational change.Identifies and develops plans for new business models and revenue generating opportunities including clinical program development, geographic expansion, and practice or other business acquisitions which align with the organization’s business development goals.Analyzes industry dynamics and the competitive landscapePerform financial analysis, due diligence and negotiations related to M&As, JVs, and other business development opportunities.  Develops and communicates the financial strategic business proposals to obtain executive leadership and Board support for proposed business development initiatives.

Qualifications

Basic education, experience and skills required for consideration:

MBAMinimum of ten (15) years of experience in a financial leadership role and demonstrated experience in system annual budgeting processes, strategic development, business growth, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures.
