Work where you matter.** **A Brief Overview** Oversee revenue cycle operations across the enterprise, from scheduling through the final adjudication of the bill for acute, ambulatory, @Home, Long Term Care, Federally Qualified Health Centers, and bad debt patient collections. The System VP of Revenue Cycle is accountable for developing and communicating the Revenue Cycle strategic vision and, in collaboration with the leadership team, will develop goals to achieve organizational objectives. This position is responsible for delivering revenue cycle financial results, meeting key performance metrics, and improving overall operational efficiency while providing a world class patient experience. The System VP Revenue Cycle will champion consolidation and coordination efforts across the enterprise, working to maximize gains from current and future technological and staffing investments. **What you will do** + Develop and execute the vision and strategy defining Avera's approach to revenue cycle operations, hardwiring accountability for revenue across the enterprise. + Be responsible for revenue cycle initiatives across the health system, both internally and externally, setting departmental budgets, attending executive meetings, sharing progress, barriers, and key decision points. + Lead overall strategy for continued revenue cycle consolidation across the enterprise, promoting best practice process improvements across cost and technology opportunities. + Champion change, continuously pushing team leaders to think creatively, solve complex challenges and drive efforts to address barriers ensuring efficiency in organizational design that leverage success from industry leaders. + Instill a culture of collaboration across all business lines, nurturing relationships with department leadership, encouraging adoption of best practices, leveraging industry and organizational knowledge to foresee risks and barriers. + Establish KPI performance targets for teams that will drive achievement of overall financial goals, shouldering accountability for meeting these targets and consistently communicating progress and risks to executive leadership. + Challenge the organization and your subordinates to identify innovative processes that pioneer the patient financial experience, approving all policies and procedures that govern the revenue cycle and collection efforts. + Provide effective human resource management by attracting top talent, while assessing, mentoring and growing staff expertise and efficiencies from within. Routinely evaluate Avera’s landscape, staying apprised of new technologies and their associated gains, and lead the development of comprehensive business cases to drive decision making + Coordinate with other executives to assess the viability and risk of future acquisition targets and efforts associated with potential integration into Avera's broader revenue cycle landscape. + Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, developing, training, and retaining employees; planning, assigning, and leading work; appraising performance; rewarding and coaching employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. **Essential Qualifications** The individual must be able to work the hours specified.
