The Systems Accounting Specialist, working hand in hand with the Corporate Conversion Team, will be the main point of contact for the Regions/Offices Accounting/Finance team during all conversions. Will assist and provide guidance in the data mapping, agency management setup and training of the agency accounting staff on the accounting management system.  Provide post conversion support as needed and will help to develop standard accounting training/workflow documentation

What You'll Do Act as the lead accounting data analyst for Applied Epic and Vertafore AMS360/BenefitPoint conversionsLead and/or Assist Regions/Offices with configuration changes to the agency management systemLead/Assist Regions/Offices with pre and post conversion cleanupAvailable for all Go Live Weekends with responsibilities as determined for each conversionResponsible for transaction import which includes not is not limited to assisting with template setup and processing the importProvide accounting support as needed to Regions/Offices Proficient with the accounting functionality within the Epic, BenefitPoint and AMS360 Agency Management SystemsDemonstrates proficient working knowledge of day-to-day accounting insurance business processes/workflows. Ability to relate the business processes to system workflows. Assist in development and maintenance of the AssuredPartners Accounting Training Program including, but not limited to, training manuals, handouts, recorded training sessions library, monthly training calls.  Develop and maintain new/improved AssuredPartners accounting workflows, to ensure the highest level of customer service, efficiency, and automation utilization throughout the Agency.  Educate and train all applicable employees on new or revised workflows when needed.Ability to think on the fly and know best business practices or able to keep a meeting moving and research unanswered questions later.Assist in coordinating all accounting training prior to conversion “go live” with the agency.Train all front office staff on the Accounting workflows and procedures for the Applied Epic system.Assist agencies with, at minimum, the first month end close on the new management system.Advise on how to handle run off items from the prior source system to the new.Ability to export/import transactions, clients, vendors, etc.Develop and maintain workflows and procedures that satisfy AP Corporate Accounting mandates.Communicate and educate any changes to effected staff for workflows and procedures.Work with Applied, Accounting, IT Departments, and any 3rd party systems as applicable to successfully and efficiently convert AssuredPartners Agency Management System data into Applied Agency Platform. Assist the agencies employees before, during, and after conversion to maximize data integration and integrity.Provide input to the Project Manager for upcoming conversions and determine if a full conversion or a manual conversion is more appropriate; each office could have different nuances to address that need to be understood.Demonstrates proficient knowledge in the area of Applied Reports and Microsoft Excel. Acts as a resource to management, production and service staff when report needs arise.Ability to effectively speak in front of groups in person and via conference call/web ex and lead the flow.Participate in, if applicable, the 90-day post conversion optimization meeting with the agency to discover any issues or concerns.Work with the Project Management Team to ensure all deadlines of the conversion team are met and satisfied that are set by Applied and/or Management.Working weekends may be occasionally required, especially depending upon the date of data delivery from Applied, in setting up any accounting configurations.Travel could be up to 40%.
