Amentum is seeking a skilled and experienced System Administrator/ Linux Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience with Linux, CentOS 7, Rocky, and RedHat. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining our Linux-based systems to ensure optimal performance, security, and reliability.

 

Responsibilities\:

    Install, configure, and maintain Linux operating systems (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu).     Monitor system performance and ensure reliability and availability.     Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.      Implement and manage security measures to protect data and systems.      Automate tasks using scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python).      Collaborate with other IT team members to support various projects.      Maintain documentation for system configurations, procedures, and policies.      Update systems as new versions of OS and application software are released.

Clearance Required\: Top Secret w/ FS Poly

Minimum Education\: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Minimum Years of Experience\: 3

          Understanding of cloud services (AWS, Google Cloud).           Strong understanding of networking concepts and protocols.             Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) is a plus.
