Systems Administrator

Air Force TENCAP exploits National space, cyber and intelligence capabilities to deliver rapid, cost-dominant and innovative warfighting solutions across the full spectrum of Air Force and Joint military missions. AF TENCAP is a Congressionally mandated rapid acquisition organization supporting tactical and operational warfighters and serves as the Air Force executive agent for the Military Exploitation of Reconnaissance and Intelligence Technologies (MERIT) program. As the Air Force's leader for National-to-Tactical capability development, AF TENCAP collaborates with leading experts across the Intelligence Community, Department of Defense, National Laboratories, industry, inter-agency, academia, and partner nations.


We are looking for innovative, creative, and highly motivated individuals to support the strategic planning and tactical execution of IT resources. Specifically, the implementation and configuration of development environments, network infrastructure, big data analytics and multi classification solutions within a government enterprise. The ideal candidate will bring a passion for learning, the drive to innovate and a humble attitude.

Work Location: 
Colorado Springs, CO - 100% On Site

 

Security Clearance: 
Active TS/SCI or Active TS with SCI eligibility

 

Required Experience and Education:
BS degree in Computer Science or Information Systems. Other degrees will be considered with relevant work experience.

 

Required Skills:

Experience with programming (scripting) languages (i.e. Bash, Python, .Net or Java)Security+Experience with Virtual Machines and Type 1 hypervisors, e.g. KVM, ESXiExperience with Kubernetes/Docker (deploying/troubleshooting apps/containers)Linux Experience: Proven experience with Linux, including installation, configuration, and maintenanceTroubleshooting Skills: Strong troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve issues within a Linux environment


Desired Skills:

Git/GitLab experienceApache open-source products (i.e. NiFi, Kafka, Zookeeper)DevSecOpsRisk Management Framework implementationSoftware development experience (i.e. C++, Java, C)


Basic Compensation: $91,140 - $136,710

The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.

 

Additional Compensation:

KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of a sign-on bonus, relocation benefits, short term incentives, long term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
