6-month Contract to hire
Onsite (Punta Gorda, FL 33950)

SUMMARY
This position participates in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure while ensuring that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational values.
This position is accountable for the following systems: Windows, Linux network operating systems, network route and switch devices.
Responsibilities on these systems include SA engineering and provisioning, operations and support, maintenance and research and development to ensure continual innovation.
In the event an emergency has been declared or critical systems outage occur this position is required to be available to work. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Triages, troubleshoots and documents incidents assigned to the infrastructure team. Management of Microsoft Active Directory and Group policy; creates computer accounts, ensures appropriate group membership and permissions. Maintains Windows Server Failover Clusters. Install and maintain hypervisors and virtual servers. Creates and resizes volumes on enterprise storage arrays. Configures, installs, maintains and troubleshoots TCP/IP router/switch devices and Fiber Channel switches. Responsible for management of enterprise database backup solutions. Develop and implement network backup and recovery procedures.  Performs routine backups and operational maintenance; restores files and directories from deletions, overwriting, corruption, encryption, etc. Maintains operating system patches and other system updates. Re-engineers and expands existing systems along with replacing inadequate systems. Installs application software and services on servers and workstations. Installs and maintains security certificates on public facing websites. Manages system resources including performance, capacity, availability, serviceability, and recoverability. Configures and installs network routers and switches, diagnose network connectivity problems. Installs and maintains network infrastructure device operating system software (e.g., IOS, NX-OS, firmware). Recommends, schedules and performs improvements, upgrades, and repairs. Participates in the planning and design of enterprise infrastructure architecture including documentation of diagrams, standards, baselines, guidelines and procedures. Participates in the planning and design of an enterprise business continuity plan and disaster recovery plan. Keeps abreast with emerging technologies and industry best practices by attending webinars, local conferences/events/workshops. Participates in department meetings, vendor meetings or discussions and assigned training. Participates as a member of the Security Incident Response Team. Additional duties may be assigned that are not noted here.
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, the ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working with networking, servers, storage, cloud concepts, virtualization and operating systems in addition to technical knowledge, skill or ability in the following data center or cloud infrastructure technologies: Computer networking concepts and protocols including TCP/IP ethernet networks (wired and wireless), Dynamic Host Configuration, Domain Name System (DNS), and directory services. Local area and wide area networking principles and concepts including bandwidth management.  Fiber Channel storage networking Virtualization technologies and virtual machine development and maintenance. Primary enterprise storage, backup storage and data protection concepts and strategies Microsoft Windows Server (Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, Group Policy, IIS, Remote Desktop Services) Network management tools (e.g., ping, traceroute, SNMP, nslookup, tone generator and probe set)  Information Technology security fundamentals (e.g., firewalls, demilitarized zones, encryption).  Patch management, log management, performance monitoring Messaging (Exchange, Office 365) Application and desktop virtualization Cloud backup and replication High availability and fault tolerance

Ability to communicate technical issues effectively, both in person and in writing.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Associates Degree (AS) or technical institute degree/certificate in Information Systems; or a combination of professional IT experience and field related certifications. Minimum of 2 years of network systems administration experience desired. Microsoft MCSA: Windows Server, Cisco CCNA or equivalent certifications in relevant programs desired.
