Abile Group has an exciting and challenging opportunity for a Systems Administrator on a 10 year contract providing User Facing and Data Center Services supporting an Intelligence Community customer. All the personnel on the team will work together to support innovative design, engineering, procurement, implementation, operations, sustainment and disposal of user facing and data center information technology (IT) services on multiple networks and security domains, at multiple locations worldwide, to support the IC mission.
The right candidate will possess the below skills and qualifications and be ready to handle all responsibilities independently and professionally.
Responsibilities Systems administration of desktop and server systems connected to local and wide area networks. Desktop system management responsibilities involving account monitoring, security, Operating System (OS) installation, and other local area system administration related functions.Provides support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems and management of system infrastructure and any processes related to these systems
Provides support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc.
Provides Tier 2 and Tier 3 problem identification, diagnosis and resolution
Provides support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers
Installs/loads operating system and application software
Isolates and resolves hardware and software problems involving the applications, the operating system, the hardware, the communications infrastructure, or any combination thereof
Troubleshoots, maintains integrity and configures network components along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance
Performs software installations and upgrades to Unix/Windows operating systems and layered software packages and maintains them in accordance with established policies, procedures and service level agreements; evaluation and installation of software/hardware patches and resolution of software related problems associated with COTS/GOTS products
Creates and follows procedures to maintain and manage multiple linked databases including security, data safety and integrity, disaster recovery, and bulk data import/exports.
Conducts routine and emergency maintenance of assigned data center equipment
Communicates/coordinates scheduled preventive maintenance windows with potentially impacted customers
Collaborates and contributes to the development, administration, and testing of backup and recovery plans
Ensures systems are secure to STIG guidelines by utilizing tools such as Retina and HBSS
Maintains operational, configuration, and other standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Verifies system availability with existing Enterprise tools
QualificationsClearance Required: TS/SCI with eligibility to obtain CI Poly
Degree and Years of Experience: Bachelor's Degree and 5+ years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and years of experience.
Required Certifications:
Ability to obtain a CompTIA Security+ or DoD 8570 Level II equivalent and a Windows Certification within 90 days of hireRequired Skills:
UNIX, Windows, and/or Storage administration
Experience working with trouble reporting and tracking systems such as Security+
Ability to respond to after hour calls “provide on-call support"
Ability to travel 30% to local area sites as well as other locations with similar architecture/footprint. Travel can include OCONUS trips.
Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
Physical Demands:
