Systems Administrator (Sepulveda Information Technology)

This is a hybrid position that requires three days a week onsite in Culver City, CA with periodic travel to our Los Angeles-based locations as needed. 

This is a 90-day contract position with the opportunity for conversion to a full-time role upon successful performance and mutual fit. 

The pay range for this role is between $80,300 - $89,220 annually.

Summary

We are seeking a System Administrator with expertise in Windows Active Directory, Office 365, VMware, storage, and security to join our dynamic IT team. If you are passionate about optimizing systems, ensuring data integrity, and safeguarding company assets, we encourage you to apply.

As a System Administrator at Didi Hirsch, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the integrity and security of our IT infrastructure. You will primarily focus on VMware, storage, and security systems, implementing and managing technologies to support our business operations. Your expertise will contribute to the reliability, performance, and scalability of our systems while ensuring the highest level of data protection and network security.

 

Primary Duties

System Administration

3 to 5 years experience in Windows Active Directory, Azure Entra, Intune  Manage Microsoft 365 and email services.  Manage Microsoft 365 users, groups, security, and spam filters.  Manages and oversees Windows active directory to ensure current patches, security updates, and update versions when necessary; manages active directory users, group policies, organizational units, DNS entries, and other active directory management tasks; monitors active directory servers.  Manage and maintain Group Policy Objects (GPOs) for Windows-based systems.

VMware Administration

Manage, configure, and optimize VMware vSphere environments.  Perform virtual machine provisioning, monitoring, and troubleshooting.  Implement and maintain virtualization technologies for business-critical applications. 

Storage Administration

Administer and monitor storage systems, including SAN and NAS.  Ensure data backup and recovery processes are robust and reliable.  Collaborate with other teams to plan for storage capacity and performance. 

Security Management

Implement and maintain security policies, procedures, and access controls.  Monitor and respond to security incidents, including intrusion detection and prevention.  Stay up to date with security trends and vulnerabilities, and proactively address them. 

System Monitoring and Optimization

Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.  Identify opportunities for performance optimization and implement improvements.  Participate in capacity planning and scalability efforts. 

Documentation and Reporting

Maintain comprehensive system documentation.  Prepare regular reports on system performance, security, and resource utilization.  Contribute to disaster recovery and business continuity plans. 

Collaboration and Teamwork

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement technology solutions.  Mentor and support junior staff members.  Be available to handle critical issues outside of regular hours. 

 

Position Requirements

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).  Minimum of 5 years of relevant system administration experience, with a strong focus on VMware, storage, and security. VMware Certified Professional (VCP) certification is a plus.  Proficiency in storage technologies (e.g., EMC, NetApp) and security tools.  Strong knowledge of virtualization, server operating systems, and networking.  Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.  Strong communication and teamwork skills.  Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python) is an advantage.  Bullet list of requirements a candidate must have to be qualified for the role
