Systems Administrator
Description We are seeking a Systems Administrator to be based in eastern Iowa. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity, and will be conducted entirely on-site. As a Systems Administrator, you will be responsible for managing client-server integrations, network and server infrastructure, as well as monitoring security and network alerts. Responsibilities: • Manage centralized software deployments to users, computer labs, and tech classrooms using Active Directory, SCCM, and Azure. • Assist in the installation, monitoring, and support of the network infrastructure, both wired and wireless. • Participate in the installation, monitoring, and support of the college enterprise server farm and virtual machines. • Work with vendor technical support as necessary. • Manage access for several systems such as Google Workspace, Jira, and file servers. • Investigate and test emerging hardware and software technologies. • Manage and renew software licensing across campus. • Configure and maintain Citrix virtual applications. • Act as a tertiary escalation point for the Desktop Support team. • Compile and maintain a Disaster Recovery plan. • Participate in long and short-term campus technology planning. • Participate in an on-call rotation and maintain a log of services and times. Requirements • Proficiency in Cisco Technologies. • Expertise in Citrix Technologies. • Experience with Cloud Technologies. • Familiarity with Dell Technologies. • Knowledge of Firewall Technologies. • Experience in AB Testing. • Understanding of Active Directory. • Proficiency in Backup Technologies. • Experience with Cluster Analysis. • Solid understanding of Computer Hardware.
