Description: This resource will be primarily responsible for the building and designing the IBM WebSphere MQ network software in a service-oriented architecture (SOA). Configure WebSphere with key triggers to run a message driven architecture. Implement a Message Queuing Interface (MQI) to provide Java Message Service (JMS).
Required Technical Skills:
• Strong System Administration experience in IBM WebSphere MQ.
• Experience in Queue Management.
• Knowledge and expertise in high availability configuration (i.e. Queue Manager Clusters, Shared Queues, and Multi-Instance Queue Managers).
• Expert ability to install, upgrade, maintain and Support WebSphere MQ efficiently in all environments.
• Strong working knowledge, experience and ability with Linux server operating systems.
• Expert ability to diagnose and resolve complex problems in a WebSphere MQ clustered environment.
• Excellent ability to develop and implement procedures that support, maintain and enhance the WebSphere MQ environment.
Preferred Skills/Requirements
• Active IRS issued Minimum Background Investigation.
• Experience working with IRS as a client.
Responsibilities:
• Install WebSphere MQ as a Queue Manager to handle storage, timing issues, triggering, and all other non-movement of data functions.
• Design a host for binding multiple connections.
• Design the queue manager to log configuration changes and retain persistent messages when failure occurs.
• Diagnose and resolve complex problems in all WebSphere MQ environments.
• Develop and implement procedures that support, maintain and enhance the WebSphere MQ environment.
• Plan and implement MQ environments for all stages of development as well as production.
• Interaction with other stakeholder organizations and individuals, such as developers and end users, will be necessary in order to resolve installation issues.
