Overview SOS International LLC (SOSi) is seeking a Systems Administrator to join our team in Joint Base Pearl Harbor Hickam, Honolulu, Hawaii. As a Systems Administrator, you'll play a vital role in maintaining and supporting system operation, maintenance, and security, ensuring DoD compliance. Our team, based in Honolulu, Hawaii, creates, manages, and supports IT solutions for USINDOPACOM, its mission and its 5,000+ customers throughout the Pacific theater. Our team solves challenging technical problems that enable USINDOPACOM to realize critical and time sensitive C2 strategies. Essential Job Duties As a Systems Administrator at SOS International LLC, you will work within the Systems Operations team to provide essential support within the USINDOPACOM Area-of-Responsibility (AOR). Your role includes installing, updating and monitoring server and hosted applications including network-attached clients, user/service accounts and related component systems in a virtual infrastructure. You will provide Tier-2 support to systems-related issues and are responsible for securing, modifying and troubleshooting aforementioned IT systems and related components, in accordance with change control processes. Proactively monitors server environment, measures performance, and reports operational status. Troubleshoots, researches and resolves issues with server systems and related components. Responds to server-infrastructure incidents and related core-services. Inputs updates to incident and service request tickets accurately and in a timely manner. Investigates and documents root-cause. Coordinates and communicates with internal and external teams, including users and partners. Secures solution components according to Department of Defense (DoD) guidelines. Develops and updates systems documentation (e.g., systems administration of new/current/legacy technologies) in addition to DoD accreditation requirements. Provides guidance/training to administrators, staff and end-users on assigned systems. Provides status updates and briefings to management and Government customer(s), as required; completes activity reports in accordance with contract requirements. Ability to effectively research and collaborate with team members in troubleshooting, upgrading, or installing services. Skilled in leveraging team expertise to address complex technical issues, streamline installation processes, and implement upgrades that enhance service performance and reliability. Ensures compliance of custody and ownership of Government equipment and related components. Assists with life cycle of IT equipment: receiving, inventory, reporting and disposal. Participates in related solution technologies and special projects, as required. Minimum Requirements Active in-scope SECRET clearance. DoD 8570 IAT-II compliant (e.g., Security+ CE, CASP+, CND, SSCP) Server Administration (Microsoft or Linux+) Certification Bachelor's degree in Information Technology and 2+ years of experience in systems administration, security operations or enterprise IT service center operation, or 6 + years of experience. Comprehensive knowledge of modern operating systems (e.g., Windows, Linux) and related security configuration. Comprehensive knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in IT systems administration, troubleshooting and support with emphasis on Microsoft Windows Server technologies including Active Directory (Domain Controllers, User/Group Accounts, Computer Objects, GPO’s), DNS, DHCP, File/Print, Exchange, SharePoint, SQL Server, WSUS. Experienced in implementing and supporting Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI)/Virtual Environments and solutions (e.g., Citrix, VMware, Azure Cloud/Hyper-V, Nutanix AHV). Knowledge of system security best practices and compliance standards including government Secure Technical Implementation Guidelines (STIGs). Familiarity with HCI, authentication protocols and C2 applications. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, adapt to changing requirements, and effectively communicate with POCs and customers. Able to support 24/7 operations (including support to exercises), when necessary. Able to follow instructions and work both independently and in a (distributed) team environment. Preferred Qualifications Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator or Red Hat Certified Systems Administrator (RHCSA) Relevant IT Certification (e.g., Citrix, Dell, HP, ITIL, Microsoft, Nutanix, VMware) Well-versed in Department of Defense (DoD) protocols, procedures, and regulations. Familiar with operating in classified environments. Prior Help Desk/software experience (e.g., Jira, Remedy, ServiceNow). Awareness or experience in ITIL framework and ITIL best practices.
