Systems Administrator
Position Description:

We’re seeking an experienced Systems Administrator who is eager to use and improve their technical skills. In this role, the successful individual will protect our critical information, systems, and assets; build solutions and implement new software and hardware. From early on, you’ll help empower our breakthrough innovations, be given challenging assignments, lead initiatives, and take ownership and responsibility while insuring the health and well-being of the existing infrastructure. Your future duties and responsibilities:

• Maintain essential IT operations, including operating systems, security tools, applications, servers
• Own projects, solutions, and key responsibilities within a larger business initiative
• Partner with internal and external partners to communicate project status, activities, and achievements
• Perform server administration tasks, including user/group administration, security permissions, group policies, print services, research event log warnings and errors, and resource monitoring, ensuring system architecture components work together seamlessly
• Monitor datacenter health using preexisting management tools and respond to hardware issues as they arise; help build, test, and maintain new servers as needed
• Interact with colleagues and teams to assist in troubleshooting, root cause analysis, providing technical support when needed
• Perform routine/scheduled audits of the systems
• Attend informational meetings with colleagues and/or clients in support of client system operational needs
• Create and maintain documentation, including process and procedure documentation, task lists and trouble tickets

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a Systems Administrator-class position or comparable experience
• Experience with Helpdesk or similar technical support positions
• Expertise with Microsoft Windows Server Familiar with DOS Batch and/or Powershell scripting • Experience with or knowledge of installing and maintaining operating systems; system performance monitoring tools; Microsoft Active Directory, virtualization concepts and supporting virtual servers
• Familiar with use and configuration of TCP/IP LAN networks Use and administration of MS Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio) and software patching/updating procedures Detail-oriented, resourceful with a problem-solving aptitude
• Excellent oral and written communications skills
• Must be a U.S. citizen

Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Security Clearance

• Recommended Additional Skills:
• Familiarity with managing Red Hat Linux (or Centos); any Linux experience a plus
• Enterprise backup and recovery procedures
• Experience with troubleshooting tools Process Explorer, Wireshark
• Apache web service concepts and HTTP/HTTPS troubleshooting
• Programming/scripting (SQL, Perl, PL/SQL, Python Bash) experience is a plus
• Experience in project management, application design and integration, and cloud computing
• Experience with databases (preferably Oracle) and Oracle Fusion Middleware
• Detailed knowledge of networks (LAN, WAN)
• Knowledge of FedRAMP Security procedures
• Management of Amazon Web Services AWS S3, EC2 experience a plus
• Knowledge of Sunflower Infrastructure Assets and Adhoc Reporting a plus
