Systems Administrator

Job Purpose
Support the organization’s core business systems and servers, as well as provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 support. Main focus is ensuring uptime and longevity of critical business systems, with secondary function of supporting end-user activities as needed.
Essential Functions
+ Maintain file/print/application servers, backups, and general knowledge of SQL; Windows Server 2012R2; and Windows Server 2019
+ Manage SAN, volumes, software upgrades, iSCSI traffic, and connectivity to virtualization stack
+ Maintain VMware, VCenter; build and maintain virtual machines including performance monitoring
+ Coordinate and implement system/server related hardware and software installations/upgrades including virtualization
+ Maintain all aspects of system security, stability, updates, and new policies; prepare EOL systems
+ Monitor and optimize virtual stack for performance and future capacity growth
+ Build and maintain backup jobs, policies, and configurations; test recovery and restore objectives
+ Escalate to third-party support vendors as needed for server and backup issues including server hardware, virtualization, backups, and performance
+ Support on-call and after-hours requirements as needed
+ Build and develop systems documentation and best-practices, technical policies, and procedures regarding server activities
+ Continually update professional knowledge by participating in professional organizations and educational opportunities, reading professional publications, and maintaining personal networks
+ Abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures, and instructions
+ Comply with all food safety requirements, training, policies, and procedures
+ Perform other job-related duties as assigned
Qualifications (Education, Experience, Competencies)
+ Bachelor's degree in a computer science related discipline and/or equivalent experience
+ 5+ years of experience working with servers and systems, designing and analyzing virtualization environments
+ Deep knowledge of Windows Server 2012R2/2019, VMWare, VCenter, and iSCSI technology
+ Microsoft or VMWare certification desired
+ Solid knowledge of HPE, Nimble, Dell, Veeam and VMWare products
+ Experience in systems capacity planning, performance, and monitoring/management
+ Experience deploying Microsoft RDS RemoteApp and supporting RDS environments
+ Experience with ERP Systems, Microsoft Dynamics (Navision, Great Plains) desired
+ Ability to work cross-functionally, convey complex issues, and maintain confidentiality
+ Ability to organize, manage multiple priorities, and maintain high attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
+ Ability to think quickly and handle frequent change
+ Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers, management, and others in a courteous and professional manner
+ Self-motivated, goal oriented, quality driven, and capable of working independently with little supervision

Residents Only: The salary range for this role is $80,257 to $125,000 annually. Pay is based upon several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. Rise Baking Company complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
