Systems Administrator
Ultra Electronics, ICE is seeking an IT Administrator to join our IT team. Our success depends on IT systems that help us reach consumers all over the world. We’re seeking an experienced systems administrator who’s eager to further develop technological skills on a worldwide stage. This person will protect our critical systems and assets, build solutions, implement new software and hardware, provide training, and assist in developing the overall IT strategy. From early on, the systems administrator will empower breakthrough innovations, take on challenging assignments, lead initiatives, and be responsible for results. The ideal candidate is passionate about applying skills and expertise to a technology-based business model that creates real-world solutions.

Maintain essential IT infrastructure, including operating systems, security tools, applications, servers, cloud infrastructure, telephony, email systems, laptops, desktops, software, and hardware. Take responsibility for projects and solutions within the larger business initiative. Handle business-critical IT tasks and systems that provide commercial advantage in the global marketplace. Enable faster and smarter business processes and supports the IT Administrator in any other correlated duties.

This is an on-site role.

Key Responsibilities

Perform server administration tasks (ex: user/group, security permissions, group policies, print services); research event-log warnings and errors; and monitor resources to ensure that systems architecture components work together seamlesslyMonitor infrastructure health using existing management tools and respond to hardware issues as they arise; help build, test, and maintain new servers when needed.Maintain internal infrastructure requirements, including laptop and desktop computers, servers, routers, switches, firewalls, printers, phones, security updates, support internet, intranet, LANs, WANs, and network segments.Assist PCS IT teams with troubleshooting to identify root cause, and provide technical support when neededPerform routine and scheduled audits of all systems, including backupsSupports and develops Local and cloud infrastructureControls asset management and when required raises orders and requisition requestsAdditional duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Associate or Technical College degree in information technology or computer science or relevant on the job experienceKnowledge of Windows server administrationBackup Administration

Preferred Qualifications

Helpdesk support experienceKnowledge of office 365 AdministrationKnowledge of VMware AdministrationKnowledge of VOIP Telephony (MS TEAMS)Knowledge of cisco networking and administrationPowerShell scriptingExcellent communication skillsPrevious experience in an IT support rolePrevious experience supporting IT operations within an engineering, manufacturing, or related business.
