Description We are offering a permanent employment opportunity for a Systems Administrator in Houston, Texas. This role involves managing the infrastructure in a hybrid workplace, with a significant focus on datacenter environments. The selected individual will also be involved in transitioning to Azure and AWS cloud services. Responsibilities: • Oversee the management of infrastructure in a datacenter environment • Participate in the migration to Azure and AWS cloud services • Ensure the availability of support on an on-call basis to assist the applications team • Uphold best security practices within the work environment • Utilize VMware in the management of the virtual environment • Handle the troubleshooting of system performances • Deploy AWS in a Linux environment, with a 60% Linux and 40% Windows division • Assist in the transition of work applications to Azure or AWS • Leverage automation skills to enhance efficiency, with a focus on Ansible and YAML files • Install new IBM scale systems and a new VEEAM solution. Requirements • Proficiency in Linux operating systems, with a focus on system administration tasks. • Extensive experience with Linux System Administration, demonstrating the ability to manage, maintain, and troubleshoot Linux-based systems. • Knowledge of and experience with Veeam software for intelligent data management, including backup, recovery, and replication functions. • Familiarity with Amazon Web Services (AWS), demonstrating the ability to operate, configure, and maintain AWS cloud-based systems.
