Systems Administrator
Systems Administrator is responsible for providing support to critical internal infrastructure and applications. This is a professional level position and requires strong execution and analytical abilities. This position is expected to interact with Servers, Databases, SaaS products, Security, and various groups within Information Technology. Candidate must have strong server, network, communication, and analytical skills. This position may need to travel internationally on occasion to our other offices.
Key Responsibilities
Responsible for the ongoing maintenance, security, and availability of several applications based on business requirements and adhering to tight operations, security, and procedural modelsApplies professional-level technical skill and judgement to provide non-routine technical support for computer/data center operationsInstalls, configures, upgrades, tunes, and troubleshoots server and non-desktop computer hardware, software, systems, and other resources in a datacenter or other centralized computer network settingMaintains access control, data integrity, and file system security for the computer/datacenter environmentMonitors, tracks, and records system performance and utilization metricsProvide automation solutions of manual repetitive tasks using scripting and configuration management systemsImprove the efficiency and help standardize current processesDocument and thoroughly understand the application architecture, system configuration across platforms, and interface with various systems, and use this knowledge effectively to resolve issuesDetermine and document the root cause of an outage, duration and recommendations or steps to resolve issuesProvide assistance as required in analyzing trends and suggesting long-term and short-term improvementsResolve incidents and problems in accordance within defined guidelines and meet operational level agreementsAssist in change management processes, implement change requests and meet project deliverables within defined guidelinesMay participate in the development of information technology and infrastructure projectsAbility to work after hours including weekends and night when requiredRespond to general inquiriesRequires a dynamic, hard-working individual, with excellent inter-personal, oral and written communication skillsCapable of effectively communicating highly technical information to both technical and non-technical personnelRequirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent relevant experienceExperience with VMWare ESXi and Microsoft Operating Systems7+ years of solid experience working as a System Administrator in an enterprise environmentPrior experience with Internet facing applicationsGeneral understanding of networking, firewalls, load balancers, and databasesStrong ability to self-learn new technologiesIndividual should be self-motivated with the ability to work independentlySound planning, organizational and problem-solving skillsDemonstrated ability to meet deadlines and commitments in an environment that requires multitasking among concurrent projectsAbility to lift 25 pounds unassistedAble to touch-type at a speed of at least 35 words per minuteBe eligible to work in the United StatesBenefits and Compensation listed vary based on the location of your employment and the nature of your employment with SailPoint.
As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the SailPoint Corporate Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission, along with potential eligibility for equity participation. SailPoint maintains broad salary ranges for its roles to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect SailPoint’s differing products, industries, and lines of business. Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity. We estimate the base salary, for US-based employees, will be in this range from (min-mid-max, USD):
$106,610 - $152,300 - $197,990Base salaries for employees based in other locations are competitive for the employee’s home location.
