ABOUT THE ROLE

Information technology staff enable Cavco employees to leverage data and systems to perform their roles, improve efficiency of the organization, reduce costs, and extend sales and marketing opportunities.

The Systems Administrator is responsible for server and workstation break/fix support, proactive monitoring, regular software patching and security vulnerability management.  This role works independently on complex efforts, executing process steps, conducting analysis, problem solving, and delivering recommendations. Mastery of skills and knowledge of specialized work.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Administers Cavco's Microsoft Windows based servers. Monitors and administers Cavco’s Cisco Meraki Network Infrastructure Ensures that servers in the environment have current and valid backups utilizing the Veeam backup platform. Performs regular software patch deployments to servers including monthly Microsoft Operating System patches and other server and/or workstation software patches as needed using the ManageEngine Endpoint Central tool. Supports Cavco’s Microsoft Active Directory environment including maintenance of Group Policy Objects. Support Microsoft Office 365 environment including email, OneDrive, SharePoint, and other Office 365 tools. Support Microsoft Windows server based file sharing and centralized print server environments. Maintains information security by supporting tools on servers to monitor security events and manage server software vulnerabilities. Provides proactive monitoring of the server environment utilizing the ManageEngine OpManager tool together with other performance and capacity management tools as required. Resolve incidents assigned to the Infrastructure Operations team in the incident management system. Gather and report data on existing environment for SOX compliance.

 

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelors in Computer Science, Information Technology or related discipline preferred 3 years’ experience managing Microsoft Windows servers in a large complex multi-tiered environment Experience managing Cisco Meraki network equipment Expert level of understanding with Microsoft Active Directory and associated technologies such as Group Policy Objects Proficient capability supporting Microsoft Windows Server based DHCP and DNS Experience with the Veeam server backup platform Experience with the ManageEngine suite of tools: OpManager, Endpoint Central, Helpdesk Plus Experience in administration of the Microsoft Office 365 platform Excellent written and verbal communication skills
