Systems Administrator I

GDIT is seeking qualified candidates for Mission Training Complex Capabilities Support II (MTCCS II) program. GDIT delivers individual sustainment through collective Mission Command training, Leadership Training / Development, Warfighter Functions (WFF) training, First Person Simulations (Gaming), and constructive simulations supported training. Technical integration between simulation and C4I systems. Establish /maintain training and exercise networks. Accomplish Risk Management Framework Certification and Accreditation security and risk management activities.

HOW AN SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR I (C4ISR) WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

Monitor and maintain the health and performance of systems.Perform regular system updates, patches, and backups.Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issuesDeploy, configure and troubleshoot network devices (to include cabling) for exercises, training events and/or special projectsConfigure and optimize systems to meet operational requirementsIntegrate various components and systems in a LVC environmentCollaborate with other branches to ensure system compatibility and interoperabilityImplement and manage security policies and configurationsMaintain documentation for system configurations and changesConfigure and optimize systems to meet operational requirementsImplement and manage security policies and configurationsMaintain documentation for system configurations and changesProvides input to staff involved in writing and updating technical documentation such as user manuals, system documentation, and training materials  Prepares reports on analyses, findings, and project progress, and presents results to management and/or customer personnel  Serves as a customer interface to resolve problems and ensure requirements are met on a timely basisProvides guidance and work leadership to less-experienced system administratorMay serve as a technical team or task leader Follows DoD Directives and Instructions 8140, 8570-01-M, Army regulations AR 25-2, NIST Special Publications 800-53, 800-39, as well as following guidance from other cyber agencies in CSPMO, and NETCOM Participates in special projects as required

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

Education: BA/BS (in computer science, information systems, engineering, systems administration or related field with concentration in computer-based technology); or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or trainingRequired Experience: 3+ years of related experience; Military and MTC experience preferredRequired Technical Skills: Technical expertise in systems and related technologies; Knowledge of network protocols, operating systems, and security practices; Experienced in configuring and maintaining networking hardware/software systems to include routers, switches and firewalls; Understanding of database management systems (DBMS) and experience with SQL and NoSQL databasesSecurity Clearance Level: SECRET clearance is requiredRequired Skills and Abilities: Superb communication skills; strong ability to advise and educate leadership through non-technical terms on systems; Ability to document and report on technical issues and solutions; Ability to resolve complex technical issuesLocation: On Customer Site
