**Purpose**
Provide advanced systems administration to ensure the security and function of the company network to enable a productive workforce.
**Responsibilities**
**Leadership and Direction**
+ Receive general instruction on key objectives for execution. Receive direction as needed, and especially complex assignments, modified techniques, and new approaches on assignments with conflicting criteria. Work is completed using advanced techniques and principles and is reviewed by more senior staff to ensure application of sound professional judgement.
+ Perform work under very limited supervision requiring the need to exercise independent judgement and discretion on a regular or frequent basis
+ Provide mentorship, guidance, and knowledge to junior staff.
+ Act as a subject matter expert and provide technical leadership to the systems administration team.
**At the Operational and Company Level**
+ Assist the Information Technology Infrastructure team to maintain and support company technology platforms; provide technical support and training to company employees.
**Do the Work**
+ Maintain telecommunications platforms (VOIP, Teams, Mobile Device Management).
+ Support email platforms (O365, Email security platform).
+ Maintain and update SSO, MFA, and security platforms.
+ Monitor and ensure uptime for production critical services, escalating to internal departments or vendors and 3rd party support as necessary.
+ Maintain virtualization solutions (ex: VMware, Hyper-V) to optimize server resources and improve scalability.
+ Maintain cloud-based infrastructure (ex: AWS, Azure) to maintain the system and support end users.
+ Maintain Edge/Datacenter infrastructure.
+ Provide advanced technical support to other IT staff.
+ Maintain and troubleshoot Active Directory and server related functions.
+ Negotiate with vendors and providers for services.
+ Document software and hardware procedures.
+ Support onsite personnel and remote locations.
+ Communicate status of projects on regular basis to manager and other members of management as needed.
+ Implement and maintain network security measures to protect the company's information assets.
+ Participate in the development and maintenance of IT policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
+ Participate in incident response and disaster recovery planning and testing.

**Qualifications**
+ Five or more (5+) years of IT experience, with three or more (3+) years of systems administrator related experience.
+ Extensive knowledge of Active Directory and Windows-based platforms.
+ Experience with management of O365 (email, SharePoint, etc.)
+ Experience with management of telecommunications platforms (Zoom, Teams, Mobile Device Management)
+ Experience with enterprise class firewalls, switches, servers, storage platforms, and network security.
+ Experience with PowerShell and BASH scripting.
+ Experience with Debian Linux.
+ Three (3) years of Managed Services Experience (MSP) within the past eight (8) years preferred.
+ Experience with containers (Docker, Kubernetes) preferred.
+ Experience with LTO Tape libraries and drives highly preferred.
+ High degree of organization.
+ Ability to effectively work and communicate with employees at all levels.
+ Relevant industry certifications, such as MCSA, VCP, or CCNA, are highly preferred.
+ Relevant associate’s degree or higher preferred.

**Physical Demands and Working Environment**
+ Primarily indoor professional office environment which may include bright/dim light, noise, fumes, odors, and traffic.
+ Eligible for Hybrid work arrangements. (Reliable high-speed network connectivity required)
+ Mobility around an office environment.
+ Mobility around Aircraft Hangar.
+ Frequent and prolonged use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
+ Primarily local travel during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be required according to the needs of the business.
+ Occasional lifting or carrying up to 50 lbs.
+ Occasional pushing or pulling up to 100 lbs.
+ Occasional reaching outward or above shoulder.
