Systems Administrator III

As a Product Support Engineer III, you will be using your skills and hands-on expertise to provide technical support and troubleshooting for our product and system prototypes. You'll be responsible for assessing our customer needs and determining the most appropriate technical solution for concept and prototype products and systems. You're technical responsibilities include product installation, testing, error/defect detection and correction, and coordinating the appropriate corrective action with engineers and operators.

The MST team has a long legacy of supporting the Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security, commercial and international customers with years of experience in platform operations, engineering and full lifecycle management across domains – air, land, sea, space and cyber.

Responsibilities:

Administer and support daily operations of Windows and Linux servers, and networking devices ensuring system reliability, data integrity, and availability.Manage network configurations to optimize performance and ensure security compliance.Implement regular system updates and patches, minimizing vulnerabilities and maintaining compliance with industry standards.Harden systems by configuring and maintaining security measures to protect sensitive data and infrastructureDevelop and maintain scripts and tools for deployment automation, striving for increased efficiency in our operational processes.Collaborate with engineering teams to understand program requirements and deliver tailored technical solutions.Communicate complex technical issues and strategies to management and non-technical stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.Performs troubleshooting support for systems hardware and software issues that are highly complex.Configure Virtual Environments such as VMware Horizon, VMware vSphere.Train end users on the proper use of hardware and software. Conducts advance software installations and upgrades to operating systems and layered software packages.Applies advanced knowledge in monitoring and tuning the system to achieve optimum performance levels.

Qualifications You Must Have:

Bachelor's degree in a related field of study or typically 6 or more years of related experienceHigher education may substitute for relevant experienceHands-on experience with wireless networks, tactical communications and personal computersCommunication and customer interface skillsThorough understanding of system level maintenance of networks and communications systemsRelated experience, including military training, may be considered in lieu of required education.Experience with the practical application of SIGINT, COMINT, and ELINT.Experience with RADAR systems.Comprehensive experience with Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI).Experience navigating and troubleshooting Linux RedHat.Comprehensive experience with Windows Server, Virtual Machines (VM), and networking.Experience with encryption equipment and materials.Microsoft Office Suite skills (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Project). Strong organizational skills, self-motivation, and flexibility.Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and conflict resolution skills.Experience with the practical application of aviation safety standards and safe operating practices.  Must be willing and able to work extended hours, holidays and shift schedules as required.Must be willing to travel CONUS off rotation to perform Training, Medical, and Certification renewalsAn active Top Secret with SCI eligibility U.S. Security Clearance is requiredU.S. Citizen with U.S. Passport.Valid Driver’s License.Ability to meet current DoD and Combatant Command restriction requirements for deployed locations.An active Top Secret with SCI eligibility U.S. Security Clearance is required

Qualifications We Prefer:

Ability to understand and interpret applicable technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals, and/or publications.DoD 8140 (IATII) compliant Experience with Domain Administration (e.g. GPOs, User Accounts, and System Accounts).Experience with RAID Controllers.Created documents for Preventive maintenance and troubleshooting steps for system equipment.Understanding of FAA regulations, policies, and procedures (FGOP).Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense or US Military Operations.Previous OCONUS deployment experience in remote locations.
