Qualified candidates for this job must possess a current DoD TS/SCI security clearance.  ROLE RESPONSIBILTIES  + Network System Management: Oversee daily operations of computer networks, including workstations, file servers, and web servers.  + Hardware and Software Installation: Install and update network systems, including both hardware and software components.  + Network Security: Implement and manage security tools like firewalls, antivirus, and intrusion detection systems.  + System Configuration: Monitor and maintain the configuration of both hardware and software for optimal system performance.  + Web and Interface Design: Design and update web pages, ensuring their functionality and user interface are up to date.  + Staff Training: Train employees on the software applications they need for their roles.  + Customer Support: Assist customers with IT-related issues, providing guidance on various systems and technologies.  + Documentation: Create and maintain local system design documents to track configurations, processes, and procedures.  Required QUALIFICATIONS  + Must possess an active DoD TS/SCI security clearance.  + Must be proficient in using different technologies such as computers and other tools and systems pertinent to the position.  + 7 years of professional experience in systems administration with a master's degree or 11 years with a bachelor's degree.  + Experience supporting daily operational requirements of computer network systems, including workstations, file servers, and web servers.  + Duties include installation of hardware, software, system upgrades, network accounts, network security, web page design, interface and updates, and local system design documentation.  + Experience maintaining, troubleshooting, and implementing network security tools, including firewalls, antivirus, and intrusion detection services.  + Capable of training staff on software applicable to their position.  + Ability to assist customers with information technology.  + Experience monitoring system configuration (hardware and software).  + Capable of providing instruction on computers and applications.  DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS  + Master’s or Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronic/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems.  + Dependent on task, individual shall meet the latest Cybersecurity workforce certification/training in accordance with DoD 8570.1M and subsequent DoD 8140 manual, as applicable.  TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS  + In rare/some occasions, overnight travel may be required.   PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT AND WORKING CONDITIONS  + Cambridge International Systems complies with Temporary Duty Station (TDY)/Outside Continental United States (OCONUS) vaccination requirements.  If this position requires OCONUS travel (listed above), Vaccine Recommendations by AOR | Health.mil lists applicable current vaccination requirements by location.  + Must be able to work in an office environment, sitting at a desk, looking at a computer for most of the workday.  + Work is physically comfortable; the employee has discretion about sitting, walking, standing, etc.  + May be required to travel short distances to offices/conference rooms and buildings on site.    BACKGROUND CHECKS  Please note that any offer of employment is contingent upon a background investigation.  In connection with working on certain federal contracts, a drug screen may also be required.  BENEFITS AND PERKS  Cambridge International Systems is committed to investing in our employees and their future by providing them with competitive compensation, career development opportunities, comfortable working conditions, and a comprehensive benefits package, some of which are listed below:  + Medical, dental, vision, Life/AD&D/STD/LTD insurance  + 401(k) matching and immediate vesting  + Paid time off and holidays  + Generous tuition & training assistance program  + Relocation assistance  + Sign-on bonuses  + Referral bonuses  + Performance-based bonuses  + Community involvement & outreach  + Wellness program  + Employee Assistance Program (EAP)  + Tickets at Work  Refer to a friend  If you know someone who may be interested, please share this posting.  We are a growing team and there may be more opportunities like this one here at Cambridge International Systems!  Depending on the recruiting difficulty of the position and other factors, successful referrals resulting in a hire may qualify for a referral bonus.
