Description We are offering a permanent employment opportunity in Sacramento, California for a Systems Administrator III. As a Systems Administrator III, you will be responsible for system installation, configuration, administration, support, and maintenance, including associated hardware. You will work independently to achieve day-to-day objectives with significant impact on operational results or project deliverables.
Responsibilities:
• Ensuring the accurate configuration and administration of both physical and virtual systems.
• Implementing best practices to identify and recommend system functional specifications.
• Managing systems infrastructures and ensuring backup and recovery of IT infrastructure.
• Updating and supporting systems by tuning performance and allocating storage space.
• Implementing critical patches, reviewing systems performance logs to identify anomalies, and troubleshooting issues.
• Communicating with internal and client project team members, influencing team members regarding solution design process and/or approaches.
• Developing technical solutions that require collaboration with internal experts, deep analyses, and understanding of impact on end-product/solution.
• Coaching and reviewing the work of lower level technical staff.
• Developing solutions to technical problems and issues that are unclear and require deep technical knowledge. Requirements • Must possess excellent communication skills for effective team collaboration and consulting.
• Proven experience in training staff on systems administration best practices and procedures.
• Proficient in software, particularly Windows and Active Directory.
• Demonstrated knowledge in compliance, specifically within a HIPAA-regulated environment.
• Experience in database administration, with preference to those proficient in Oracle.
• Ability to oversee human resources (HR) administration tasks within the systems department.
• Experience in conducting audits and maintaining logs for system checks and updates.
• Familiarity with "About Time" software or similar timekeeping systems.
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to guide and support a team.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting system issues and implementing solutions.
• Knowledge of SAN - Storage Area Network, and other storage technologies.
• Experience in configuration management and system licensing.
• Knowledge of backup technologies for data protection and recovery. Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.®
