Systems Administrator III Lead Job Category: Information Technology Time Type: Full time Minimum Clearance Required to Start: Secret Employee Type: Regular Percentage of Travel Required: Up to 10% Type of Travel: Continental US * * * **The Opportunity:** + Join NAVSEA 03S as the lead Systems Administrator for the Navy Maintenance and Modernization Enterprise Solution (NMMES) + Play a crucial role in managing and optimizing complex IT systems supporting naval ship and submarine maintenance operations + Oversee system administration for diverse technologies serving over 45,000 users across global Navy facilities, including Navy Shipyards and Intermediate Maintenance Facilities + Lead initiatives to maintain and improve both legacy systems and modern web-based applications + Drive the operational efficiency of NMMES infrastructure, balancing system performance with customer-driven enhancements and technology obsolescence challenges + Manage the full lifecycle of systems, from configuration and deployment to maintenance and upgrades + Apply SAFe Agile methodologies to improve system administration processes and team efficiency **Responsibilities:** + Organize and direct the configuration and operation of information management systems within the NMMES environment + Lead and mentor a team of system administrators to provide day-to-day system administration, including system and resource optimization, and user assistance + Conduct capacity and performance analysis, and provide system configuration change and upgrade recommendations + Increase system administrator efficiency and accuracy via the use of automated tools and scripts + Develop system administration procedures and conduct system administrator training and skills assessment + Ensure the seamless integration and operation of legacy software applications with current web application technologies running on multiple operating systems + Implement and maintain robust security measures across all NMMES systems + Collaborate with other IT teams to support the full NMMES lifecycle, from sustainment of existing systems to implementation of new solutions + Implement and champion SAFe Agile practices within the NMMES system administration process **Required Qualifications:** + At least 12 years of experience in system administration or related field within DoD/Navy programs + Extensive knowledge of system administration principles and practices, particularly in managing complex, global IT systems + Proven experience leading technical teams and managing full system lifecycle processes + SAFe Agilist (SA) certification or higher + Must be a US Citizen with an active Secret clearance **Desired Qualifications:** + Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field + Experience with naval maintenance and modernization systems or similar complex DoD programs + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to balance administration of legacy systems and new technology integration + Advanced SAFe certifications such as SAFe Program Consultant (SPC) or SAFe DevOps Practitioner + Proficiency in administering both legacy systems and modern, web-based applications + Experience in managing systems across multiple operating systems and technology platforms + Knowledge of relevant DoD and Navy standards for system security and administration + Expertise in virtualization, cloud technologies, and automation tools + Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices and compliance requirements for DoD systems - ______________________________________________________________________________ **What You Can Expect:** **A culture of integrity.** At CACI, we place character and innovation at the center of everything we do.
