Responsibilities
Our client is looking for a Level 4 Systems Administrator to join their team! As a Level 4 Systems Administrator, you will perform orchestration, sustainment, and evolution of a portfolio of mission-critical applications and services supporting a major Directorate within the U.S. Intelligence Community. You will also be responsible for maintaining the smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network engineers. Additionally, you will:
Monitor and manage system resources, including CPU usage, disk usage, and response times to maintain operating efficiencyPerform systems security administration functions, including creating user profiles and accountsProvide Tier 1 and Tier 2 problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution of problems. Provision/harden Linux operating systemsMust have familiarization with scripting and installing applications from root files. Working knowledge of reviewing of security scans, applying fixes to resolve noted deficiencies and ability to work with and run STIGs via a viewer or other automated toolsOther duties may include:Setting up administrator accounts, maintaining system documentation, tuning system performance, installing system wide software and allocating mass storage spaceInteracting with users and evaluates vendor productsPurchase recommendations for hardware and software, coordinates installation and provides backup recoveryDeveloping and monitoring policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resourcesRequirements
A minimum of 8 years relevant experience is requiredThis position requires strong Linux (CentOS, RHEL, and/or Oracle) skills with current/very recent experience with Linux OS upgrades in a cloud environmentExperience working in an AWS environment and familiarity with console accesses to provision, maintain and monitor serversPerforming snapshots, disaster recovery, performance tuningInstallation, STIG hardening, and patching experience is requiredExcellent troubleshooting skills and Tier 1 communication skillsExperience developing and maintaining critical documentation (SIPs, SAGs, SOPs, Getting started guides)Preferred Requirements
Experience working with Agile scrum teamsExperience with ElasticSearchCloud (EC2s, S3, Elasticache), Kafka, Openshift, Docker, Keycloak, WildflyPKI certificates, SSL, service accounts experienceMaintaining multiple environment types (physical, virtual, cloud)Experience supporting security audits and testing eventsEducation/Certification Requirements
A Bachelor’s degree is required for this positionA Security+ OR other active IAT II/III certification is requiredClearance Requirements
