Job Description:

Manages the daily activities of configuration and operations of business systems that may be mainframe, mini, or client/server based. Optimizes system operation and resource utilization and performs system capacity analysis and planning. Provides assistance to users in accessing and using business system.  

 

Skills: 

Expert knowledge and experience in current Windows client server to include OS configuration, file sharing, DNS, DHCP, and Active Directory. 

Experience with administration of various Linux operating systems (CentOS, Ubuntu).  

Provide desktop support across the Org and managed Enclaves  

Optimize system operations and resource utilization 

Coordinate, deliver, install, and maintain end user devices (EUDs) hardware and software. 

Implement ongoing system security compliance measures to include patches and system updates. 

Expert knowledge and demonstrated experience and its implementation using VMware vSphere (vCenter/ESXi) and Horizon View (VDI Desktops). 

Experience working in an Enclave environment  

Expert knowledge and experience managing NetApp (NFS, CFIS) and Dell EqualLogic (ISCSI).  

 

Desired Skills:  

Recent System Administration experience with Windows and Linux operating systems  

Experience working in an Enclave Environment  

Experience performing system analyzes and planning  

Intermediate experience with PowerShell scripting and programming. 

Experience providing Tier 2 and Tier 3 support 

Solid Knowledge of and current experience with Azure and VDI  

Practical experience in implementing and maintaining thin-client workstations and virtualization (VDI Desktops).  

Practical experience in implementing and maintaining virtualization (VDI Desktops)

Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA), NetApp, VMWare, Linux

 

Qualifications: 

Must have one of the following DoD approved certifications to meet the category/level IAT-2 (DD 8570) requirement for this position:  Security+, GSEC, SSCP, CCNA-Security, CISA, CISSP (or Associate), CASP, GCIH, or GCED. 

Required Education & Experience: High School/GED (+12) years of relevant experience. AD (+10) years of relevant experience. BA/BD (+6) years of relevant experience. Master's degree (+4) years of relevant experience, or PHD (+2) years of relevant experience.

The likely salary range for this position is $142,800 - $193,200. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
