Systems Administrator (Linux)
ALLDATA, the leading provider of automotive business solutions, is seeking an experienced Mid-Senior Systems Administrator to join its Technology team. Position Summary As a member of a lean and high-performing Linux/UNIX administrative team, you will be responsible for providing second level administrative support to our IT operations, infrastructure, product engineering, QA, and data services teams, while maintaining all Linux servers hosted at our headquarters, colocation facilities and hybrid cloud environments. The Systems Administrator position will be accountable for server builds, application deployment, patching, backups, disaster recovery, monitoring, compliance auditing support, and advocating for automation and industry best practices. Job Duties + 60% - Maintain daily business operations and collaborate with team members to complete assigned Agile story work + 15% - Plan, design, configure, patch, test, automate, and implement system changes + 15% - Document processes, procedures, configuration settings and infrastructure design for business continuity and disaster recovery + 10% - Includes on-call activities + Analyze/troubleshoot all levels of server, application and network issues + Document, track and monitor technical issues to ensure timely resolution + Provide timely and thorough input for regular status reporting + Take ownership of issues, work independently or escalate as needed, and find creative ways to resolve problems + Apply strong technical problem-solving skills daily + Be pro-active with a focus on constant improvement and follow through at all levels + Demonstrate your ability to work in a fast-paced environment while balancing multiple priorities + Provide excellent oral and written communication skills + Perform other duties and special projects as required or assigned Qualifications The Mid-Senior Lead Systems Administrator (Linux), shall possess 7+ years of applied technical knowledge, and experience with most of the following systems, platforms, and/or applications: + Hands-on advanced knowledge of RedHat, CentOS, or any enterprise/community Linux platform + Administrative to advanced knowledge of Apache: CouchDB, Couchbase, VMWare, and HPe/Dell/IBM hardware and services + Advanced knowledge of IPv4, SCP, SSH, FTPS, RSync, firewalls, load balancing, OSI 7 Layer Model + Advanced knowledge of storage area network and network attached storage system, including object storage systems: Fiber channel, iscsi, NFS, FCoE, S3 + Functional Knowledge of ADDNS, DNS, LDAP, Azure Active Directory, MS 365 + Good to know: Python, Java, PHP, C/C++ + Experience with common RDBMS & DBMS: MySQL, Oracle, Mongo, Couchbase, Cassandra + Experience with service management software: Atlassian Jira/Confluence/Jenkins, SMAX + Knowledge of Nagios, PRTG, SolarWinds, HP Operations Manager, Dell OpenManage + Strong knowledge/understanding of ITSM/ITIL support processes and methodologies, incident management, change control management, problem management AutoZone, and its subsidiary, ALLDATA are equal opportunity employers.
