We are a highly technical group and nurture growth, with a technical culture of cross-trained teammates with opportunities to develop additional skillsets. **Responsibilities:** + Maintains smooth operation of Linux-based systems, including coordination with network and systems engineers. + Monitors and manages system resources, including CPU usage, disk usage, and response times to maintain operating efficiency. + Performs systems security administration functions, including creating user profiles and accounts. + Other duties may include setting up administrator accounts, maintaining system documentation, tuning system performance, installing system wide software. + Interacts with users. Makes recommendations to purchase hardware and software, coordinates installation and provides backup recovery. + Interact with customers to handle service inquiries and problems. + Provide support to the implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems. Distinguish isolated user problems from enterprise-wide application/system problems. + Coordinate with customers and stakeholders to collect data, conduct analysis, develop, and implement solutions associated with incident tickets and requirements. + Duties include examining customer problems and implementing appropriate corrective action to initiate a repair or return. + Analyze recurring problems, annotating, and initiates solutions for preventing re-occurrence. + Work with systems and network engineers in implementing enterprise wide systems and technologies. + Ability to install and troubleshoot workstations, thin clients, applications, printers/scanners, phones, and various other IT equipment. \#divergent + 2+ years of experience in systems administration and end-user support for a Linux environment + Basic working knowledge of Linux command line and various Linux operating systems + Experience administering and working within a virtualized environment + Ability to articulate technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems with various levels of stakeholders. + Experience working within classified enterprise networks + Experience working with ticketing systems (i.e. Jira, ServiceNow, etc) + Experience creating technical documentation to include diagrams, both logical and physical + Required IAT Certs: one or more of the following: Security+, CASP+ or CISSP + Required Vendor Cert: one or more of the following: VMWare, Linux+, or RedHat.
