Systems Administrator LVL II (C4ISR)
General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) is looking for a Systems Administrator LVL II (C4ISR) for JMSC-IP/ MTCCS at our Ft Wainwright site.
HOW A SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR LVL II WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:
The Systems Administrator (C4ISR) Installs, manages configuration, monitors performance, and maintains physical and virtualized servers within computer networks, troubleshoots and resolves system errors and inefficiencies, and ensures that computer systems are operating, securely and efficiently for the Mission Training Complex (MTC)
Manage Mission Command Information Systems (MCiS)Manage a variety of Command & Control (C2) systemsManage Data Products/ IP Management or Unit LDIF Manages the functionality and efficiency of physical and virtual servers and workstations running VMware, Microsoft, and Linux operating systems.Maintains the integrity and security of servers and systems.Maintains system documentation.Develops and implements backup recovery procedures.Develops and implements application testing strategies and documents results.Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned.Maintains and provides the guidance and troubleshooting for the virtual and physical infrastructure architecture of enclaves within the network boundary.Implements DISA STIGs and IAVM patching for all systems within the network enclave boundary.Participates in special projects as required.Must have the ability to work independently with minimum supervision and to perform shift work when required.WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
EDUCATION: Degree in a related field – preferred (Not Required)EXPERIENCE: 3-5 years of directly related experience supporting information systems operations and training. 5 years’ experience – preferredCERTIFICATIONS: CompTIA Security+ (Required); DoD 8570.01M/ 8140.03 IAT Level II Certified; DoDM 8140.03 DCWF Role 451 System AdministratorCLEARANCE: Secret (Required TS Preferred)KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:Experience and training with Microsoft Server 2016/ 2019 or newer to include Active Directory, Radius, DNS, and Group PolicyExperience and training with virtual environments (VMware, Hyper-V, etc.)Familiar with maintaining and operating Trellis ENS (formerly McAfee Endpoint Security) and Tenable Security Center (ACAS) scansFamiliar with maintaining and operating SQL serverExperienced in applying patches/updates and STIGs.Storage Arrays and LUNs/iSCSI experience is preferred.ADDITIONAL DETAILS: Additional Requirements include lifting, bending, and climbing as required to support military exercises and training.TRAVEL: Occasional travel in support of the MTCCS USARPAC Contract.
