Natera is seeking a Systems Analyst to join the Patient Experience Billing team. This position is responsible for developing, analyzing, optimizing, and managing the systems and processes that support patient billing. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Power BI development, database management, and system analysis, with a data-driven mindset focused on process improvements and system efficiencies.
Primary Responsibilities: Analyze and review patient billing system data and files. Design and develop Power BI dashboards and reports to visualize key performance indicators (KPIs), system performance, and operational data. Ensure billing-related patient communications and statements are generated and delivered on time. Collaborate with internal departments, external vendors, and call centers to improve data workflows and system efficiencies that enhance the overall patient experience. Work closely with vendor operations teams to oversee and enhance database and system functionalities impacting patient billing and cash collections. Manage and optimize data storage solutions, including integration with tools like Snowflake or other database systems. Develop and track KPIs related to patient billing system performance to include adherence to SLAs, operational efficiency, and accuracy of billing operations. Investigate and resolve system-related patient billing escalations with a problem-solving and data-driven approach. Research and implement new technologies and procedures to optimize billing systems, enhance data insights, and improve workflows. Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in business, healthcare systems, computer science, or a related technical field. Master’s Degree in data analytics, information management, or a related field (preferred). 2–3 years of experience with systems analysis, database management, Power BI development, or related fields. Experience with SQL and data modeling for database and reporting applications. Familiarity with billing systems like AMD or Epic (preferred). Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Strong proficiency in Power BI development, including DAX, data modeling, and creating interactive dashboards. Strong knowledge of database systems such as Snowflake. Familiarity with medical billing terminology and healthcare systems (Epic or AMD experience is a plus). Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with a focus on data workflows and reporting. Ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, and deliver clear, actionable insights. Familiarity with HIPAA/PHI privacy regulations and related system security requirements. Ability to develop, implement, and present system performance reports using data visualization tools. The pay range is listed and actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years & depth of experience, certifications and specific office location.
