Systems Analyst/Application Support *Location: Required onsite 2 days a week in downtown Lansing, MI** Looking for the following experience: + Application Support + Server Support + Experience maintaining various COTS applications and help configure changes as required for some SAAS products + Windows experience + Linux experience + Installing systems and application components and configuring them on Windows and Linux environments + Experience gathering and documenting requirements, researching and presenting options, analyzing and recommending solutions for both ongoing application changes and new efforts Job Description: This position is responsible for providing technical support for COTS (Custom Off the Shelf) packages for the end client. This position will maintain various COTS applications and help configure changes as required for some SAAS products. To serve in this capacity this position should have thorough analytical skills and extensive experience with Windows and Linux operating systems, monitoring, networks, firewalls, architecture including diagraming, remediating vulnerabilities and other application and server support duties. This role will perform systems analyst assignments including but not limited to: • Installing systems and application components and configuring them on Windows and Linux environments. • This role will also be responsible for gathering and documenting requirements, researching and presenting options, analyzing and recommending solutions for both ongoing application changes and new efforts. • Ensuring application and infrastructure security following Federal, State and industry standards are also an essential trait in this role. • This position requires heavy collaboration with vendors, customers, and other technical areas to understand and execute projects and changes timely. Requirements: • This role is a mix of applications support and network support. • This position will maintain various COTS applications and help configure changes as required for some SAAS products. • To serve in this capacity this position should have thorough analytical skills and extensive experience with Windows and Linux operating systems, monitoring, networks, firewalls, architecture including diagraming, remediating vulnerabilities and other application and server support duties. • Will also help with application remediation and vulnerabilities. • Looking for someone who has the windows server experience. • Installing systems and application components and configuring them on Windows and Linux environments • Gathering and documenting requirements, researching and presenting options, analyzing and recommending solutions for both ongoing application changes and new efforts. • Heavy collaboration with vendors, customers, and other technical areas to understand and execute projects and changes timely.
