The iconic Framingham Heart Study began in 1948 and has enrolled three generations of Framingham residents to study cardiovascular disease. As part of our IT team, you will oversee the database systems at the Framingham Heart Study, and provide programming support for our enterprise applications, REDCap and our homegrown Participant Tracking System (PTS). In addition, your secondary responsibilities will include programming APIs (Application Programming Interface) which integrate our disparate applications for data synchronization and reporting, and programming PHP, to develop a new version of our current PTS application.
The primary function of this role is to be the administrator of our REDCap and PTS systems in support of staff that conduct daily examinations of study participants in the FHS Research Center. The person in this role works closely with staff to maintain, develop and program new reports using Crystal Reports and SAS. This position is also responsible for maintaining database systems, including MySQL, MariaDB, and Microsoft SQL Server. Familiarity with PowerBI and SSRS is a plus.

Education required: Masters degree in Computer Science or related field Experience required: 3-5 years of relevant experience Work location: Framingham, MA. (3 days in office, 2 remote) Work schedule: Monday-Friday, 7am-3pm.
