Description We are in search of a Systems Analyst / Architect to join our team in NEW YORK, New York, 10020-1513, United States. This role involves formulating and defining system scope and objectives based on user needs. The role also includes devising or modifying procedures to solve complex business problems and preparing detailed specifications for developers. The position offers a long-term contract employment opportunity and requires a combination of in-office and remote work, adhering to regular hours in the eastern time zone.
Responsibilities:
• Define system scope and objectives based on user needs
• Devise or modify procedures to solve complex business problems, taking into account system limitations and capacity
• Prepare detailed specifications for developers
• Provide technical expertise in evaluating new software modifications to enhance operating and development activities
• Collaborate with team members on projects, supporting requests and infrastructure
• Use Python coding to solve complex business problems
• Manage and maintain RHEL Linux systems
• Utilize automation tools like Puppet, Ansible, and Terraform for efficient system operations
• Utilize knowledge and experience of AWS cloud infrastructure for system management
• Implement security and compliance standards and procedures in system operations
• Work with HPE servers and hardware for system maintenance and operations. Requirements • Possessing strong skills in management and training, with the ability to supervise teams and conduct development activities
• Proficient in Python and R Code programming languages
• Familiarity with AWS, Linux and Ansible technologies
• Demonstrated experience with server management and computer hardware
• Knowledgeable in using collaboration tools such as Zoom
• Ability to work with suppliers, ensuring compliance functions and specifications are met
• Familiarity with security procedures and protocols
• Capable of conducting competitor analysis and implementing strategies accordingly
• Proficiency in using 'About Time' software for time management
• Willingness to perform onsite work when required
• Ability to use Puppet and Terraform for configuration management and infrastructure as code
• Experience in conducting phone screens as part of the recruitment process
• Familiarity with system modification processes
• Strong understanding of compliance functions and their implementation
