Your role
Reporting to the Sr. Manager of IT,
JOB SUMMARY:
We are seeking an experienced Applications Specialist with a strong background in Systems Administration and Database Management to join our IT team. This role is blended and crucial for maintaining the reliability, performance, and security of our enterprise applications, databases, and supporting IT and OT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in managing and optimizing ERP, WMS and LIMS systems, databases, and other enterprise applications, ensuring they meet the business and regulatory compliance needs effectively.
This position is an on-site role.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Application Support & Management:
+ Manage and support enterprise applications, including LIMS, ERP and WMS systems.
+ Ensure company applications are updated, secure, and optimized for performance.
+ Troubleshoot and resolve application-related issues, providing timely support to users.
Systems Administration:
+ Perform routine system maintenance, including updates, patches, and backups.
+ Manage and monitor servers, ensuring high availability and reliability of IT/OT services.
+ Collaborate and manage network segregation activities between IT and OT.
+ Collaborate with our Network and Security staff to implement and enforce security policies to safeguard the organization's IT/OT infrastructure.
+ Manage Active Directory, permissions, and user accounts.
Database Management:
+ Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of database systems.
+ Monitor database performance, implement optimization strategies, and resolve performance issues.
+ Ensure database security, integrity, and compliance with industry standards.
+ Perform data migration, backup, and recovery operations.
Collaboration & Project Management:
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of applications and systems.
+ Assist in the planning and execution of IT/OT projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
+ Document and maintain detailed records of system configurations, procedures, and changes.
Innovation & Continuous Improvement:
+ Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in systems administration, database management, and application support.
+ Propose and implement innovative solutions to improve IT service delivery and efficiency.
Your profile
+ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field and or a combination of education and experience.
+ Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in applications support, systems administration, and database management.
+ Proven experience with ERP and WMS systems, LIMS, Microsoft Windows Server, and Linux environments.
+ Strong experience with database management systems (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL).
+ Demonstrated compliance experience with FDA and GxP regulations including development of SOP’s and WI’s.
+ Experience with BCP and DRP activities.
+ Proficiency in scripting and automation (e.g., PowerShell, Bash).
+ Strong knowledge of network infrastructure, virtualization, and cloud technologies.
+ Expertise in backup and disaster recovery planning and implementation.
+ Familiarity with ITIL practices and change management processes.
+ Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
+ Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
+ Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
Compensation range
90,000.00 - 110,000.00 USD
*The referenced compensation range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job's compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.
