Job Description
The Assistant Systems Technical Manager of Financial Aid provides technical support to campus and System associates in the area of financial aid processing and data monitoring. This position requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, reliable customer service, and proficiency in a technological environment. In addition, the Assistant Technical Manager of Financial Aid will assist the System Technical Manager of Financial Aid with the annual set up and maintenance of the Banner financial aid modules, provide support for Banner Help Desk in the area of daily processing of student financial aid to support the support the student’s financial aid process in support of the enrollment process. This position provides a near-term growth opportunity for the right person.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Technical Support: Assist the System Technical Manager of Financial Aid with new aid year set up and maintenance of the Banner Financial Aid modules and daily processing of federal and state aid files through the federal, state, internal and third-party electronic data files. Campus Support: Provide support to campus financial aid teams by providing Help Desk support in the area of daily financial aid processing and daily review of accounts receivable application of payments and follow up with field as needed, and act as back up Destination Point Administrator for the set up and deletions of users in U. S. Department of Education, State and third party support systems and backup support for other members of the System Office Financial Aid Team. Compliance Support: Assist with oversight, monitoring, and correcting data irregularities in Banner, and participate in student file review. Technical Applications: Uses multiple technical applications, including but not limited to Banner processing system, MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) Other duties, responsibilities, and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice.Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required 2-3 years of experience in with Banner Student System preferred Knowledge of Federal and State financial aid regulations Familiarity with COD, NSLDS and other federal and state systems Ability to function effectively as part of a team to meet overall college goals Excellent verbal and communication skills Excellent organizational and analytical skills Knowledge of Microsoft Office products, especially ExcelPhysical Demands and Work Environment:
Position requires the use of computer technology/equipment. Position requires standing or sitting in a stationary position as well as the occasional need to lift, carry, push, and/or move objects up to 10 pounds.
SALARY:
$60,000 - $70,000
