Systems Control Engineer

Launch new process sequences and assist with proper organization and flow of PCON (Process Configuration) for machining and assembly areas. Apply engineering principles and analytical techniques to establish and continuously improve manufacturing processes and products. Prepare and revise maintenance plans of plant equipment and inspection checklists. Prepare and review drawings for wiring, installation and configuration for field instrumentation, PLC hardware and panels. Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects and the need for adjustment or repair. Update program backups for automation. Program new installations of Body tooling and conveyor systems. Reprogram automation for engineering changes and improvements. System Controls Engineer positions offered by Ford Motor Company (Dearborn, MI). **You'll have...** + Requires a bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in computer science, engineering or a related field + 5 years of experience in the position offered or 5 years of experience performing systems analysis and designing systems, subsystems, or components and defining requirements + In lieu of a bachelor’s degree and 5 years of experience as stated, employer will accept a master’s or foreign equivalent degree in aforementioned fields and 2 years of experience as stated. + 2 years of experience using PLC logic and controls (RSLogix) and programming industrial equipment in all IEC 61131-3 languages with a focus on structured text and ladder logic + 2 years of experience using at least one of the following Safety or Non-safety PLC Controllers: Allen Bradley, Schneider, Eaton, Siemens, or Mitsubishi + 2 years of experience using Human Machine Interface, Field bus Networks and OPC UA + 2 years of experience connecting Ethernet communications between PLCs, SCADA, MES, DCS and other systems + 2 years of experience selecting and integrating appropriate circuit protectors, wire and cable, sensors, safety hardware, PLC hardware, remote I/O, VFD and servo systems + Employee reports to office in Dearborn, MI. Position may work from home, but must live within commuting distance of stated office. + Experience may be, but need not be, acquired concurrently. We are offering a salary of $116,646 to $142,009 per year.
