BGS is seeking a Systems Design and Analysis Engineer (Mid-Level or Lead) to support the Avionics/Electrical Ground Support Systems team in Berkeley, Missouri. This position will be in Ground Support Equipment in support of F-15 (multiple customers), T-7, and other Air Force programs. Experience with Supplier Statement-of-Work, Supplier Coordination, and requirements tracing are all highly desired.
Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Mid-Level or Lead Systems Design and Analysis Engineers.
Position Responsibilities:
Researches, analyzes, and compiles basic technical data for company products and system-level concepts in the projected operational environments to optimize effectiveness over the program lifecycleApplies systems engineering processes, methodologies and tools to the design of basic system of systems, systems and new product developmentDerives and develops basic architectures, functional requirements, refinements and product designsAssists in the integration of technical, cost, value, risks and specialty engineering considerations into definition of the productInterfaces with other members of the project or program teams, management, sales and marketing staff, customers and suppliers to meet group, organization and company objectivesThis is a hybrid position that allows some telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.
This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. secret clearance Post Start is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
3+ years’ experience developing requirements for systems engineering processes3+ years’ experience coordinating requirements with suppliers and/or subcontractors3+ years’ experience communicating both written and verbal, with public speaking and frequent interactions with senior-level managementPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
5 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science3+ years of experience accurately and productively reviewing, commenting, resolving and approving technical designs and data packages3+ years of experience in avionics troubleshooting3+ years of experience with on platform electrical support equipmentTypical Education / Experience:
Mid-Level (Level 3):
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience, 9 years' related work experience, etc.
Lead (Level 4):
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience, 13 years' related work experience, etc.)

Summary Pay Range for Mid-Level (Level 3): $85,000 - $124,200
Summary Pay Range for Lead (Level 4): $113,900 - $154,100
