Systems Director, IT Delivery Optimization

Responsibilities
IT Strategy and Planning:Develop and implement IT strategies in alignment with the organization's overall business objectives.Identifies company goals with executive leadership and aligns IT demands, projects, and initiatives to goals. Creates strategic roadmaps to align IT initiatives with strategic objectives.Stakeholder Engagement:Act as a strategic partner to business executives, understanding their needs and ensuring IT initiatives align with business objectives.Collaborate with business leaders to identify opportunities where IT can drive business value and support strategic goals.Facilitate effective communication between IT and business units, ensuring mutual understanding and cooperation.Administrative Functions:Oversee administrative functions within Information Technology, including staffing, procurement, and contract management.Ensure the effective and efficient operation of the IT organization, including the management of IT assets and resources.Onboarding and Training:Develop and oversee IT onboarding programs to ensure new employees are effectively integrated into the organization.Implement training and development programs to enhance the skills and capabilities of the IT team.Promote continuous learning and professional development within the IT organization.Governance and Portfolio StandardsEstablish and oversee IT governance frameworks to ensure effective prioritization and management of IT demand, projects and initiatives.Defines and implements centralized demand and program/project management process and tools, including associated policies, templates, dashboards, and metrics. Creates concise, informative, and meaningful management reports to highlight program/project issues and progress and monitor compliance with corporate policies and procedures.Manage the IT project portfolio, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.Implement best practices for project management, including risk management, resource allocation, and performance measurement.Tooling Process Ownership:Own and manage the IT tooling and processes that support project management and delivery.Ensure tools and processes are efficient, effective, and aligned with industry best practices.Continuously evaluate and improve IT tooling and processes to enhance performance and user satisfaction.Financial Oversight:Intersects with IT Finance to develop and manage the IT budget, ensuring financial resources are allocated efficiently and effectively.Ensures financial accuracy, and implement workflows and technology solutions that enhance operational efficiency to support our financial goals.Monitor and report on IT financial performance, identifying areas for cost optimization and improvement.Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.LeadershipWill lead the Strategic Planning, Stakeholder Engagement, Process Ownership, Governance and Portfolio Standards.Build and lead a high-performing IT team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.Mentor and develop IT staff, providing opportunities for professional growth and development.Promote diversity and inclusion within the IT department.Remote eligible

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience 

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, Finance or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).Minimum of 7 years of experience in Program Management,  Finance, or IT management.7 years of Information Technology Leadership Experience preferredProven experience in strategic planning, project management, and financial oversight within an IT organization.

Preferred Qualifications:

PMP, PgMP, ITIL, and/or Agile certifications highly desired.
