With these benefits, plus the option for flexible schedules and possible remote a few days a week (depending on customer requirements) we’ll support you as you pursue a balanced, fulfilling life-at work and at home. **Responsibilities:** This opportunity will provide systems engineering and mission planning integration support to the Integrated Vehicle Health Management and Automation branch for the Human Landing System (HLS) elements and to the MSFC Systems Vehicle Management Division (EV43). The successful candidate will coordinate and interface with multiple HLS engineering disciplines, system elements, cross-program elements, and customers, as well as participate in HLS reviews, meetings, working groups, task teams, and trade studies. The candidate will support for the development of key systems engineering products with a focus on mission planning related models in MagicDraw. These models will support program milestones and subsequent activities where they will be assessed and matured. The successful candidate will work with the Human Landing System element customers and partners from inception to deployment to ensure stakeholder needs are satisfied. The system engineering support that the candidate will perform includes: + Decompose vehicle functions from Concept of Operations (ConOps) + Assess requirements changes. + Enhance Human Landing System (HLS) MagicDraw environment for external stakeholders (S&MA, V&V, & M2M). + Enhance model linkages with DNG/Support HLS Digital Engineering efforts. + Incorporate provider data from various sources into the HLS modeling environment and perform analysis and validation against mission requirements. + Coordinate with HLS Requirements & Verification (R&V) team to assess impacts to the functional models from changes to requirements and requirements tools. + Represent HLS team at Moon2Mars (M2M) Digital Engineering Forums. **Qualifications:** + A Bachelor’s degree with at least 8 years’ experience in aerospace, electrical, mechanical, or equivalent engineering discipline from an ABET accredited institution is required. + Over 3 years of experience working on an integrated project team using systems engineering, project management processes, and\or launch vehicle subsystem operations is required. + Experience in Magic Draw, DOORS Next Generation, and Microsoft Excel is required. + Familiarity with General Spacecraft Systems Engineering and with the Artemis campaign and Human Landing System (HLS) Program is desired. + Excellent technical writing and communications skills are required. + Candidate is expected to be a self-motivated, team player familiar with working in a dynamic work environment. **Essential Functions** **Work Environment:** General office environment. Requires ability to interact effectively with co-workers, managers, and clients. Requires ability to provide clear, concise, and accurate communications, both verbally and in writing (50%). Travel may be necessary, but infrequent (<10%) **Physical Requirements:** Requires sitting for extended periods of time in meetings with peers, management, and with our client at MSFC facilities to discuss technical issues (25%). Requires sitting at a desk to write reports and perform engineering task activities (25%). Work will be performed on-site at NASA/Marshall Space Flight Center (75%). Use of stairs or elevators can gain access to buildings. **Equipment and Machines:** Requires ability to operate a personal computer, telephone, task related software, and other general office equipment. **Attendance:** Normal workday is from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday thru Friday. Minimal overtime may be required (10%) to meet schedule milestones and to support technical demands of the job. Regular attendance is a necessity and adequate arrangements for delegating duties during absences are required. **Other Essential Functions:** Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, and to make rational decisions, and to exercise good judgment (100%).
